第一位單獨(dú)演出的DJ

在舉辦了第一次 ID&T Innercity 派對(duì)后，Tiesto開始名聲鵲起。這個(gè)時(shí)候是90年代后期。而后，在2000年早些時(shí)候，他的六個(gè)小時(shí)"Tiësto Solo"個(gè)人專場(chǎng)更是讓他紅極一時(shí)。

他的暢銷單曲包括"Flight 643," "Lethal Industry," "Suburban Train," "Traffic," 和他重新編曲詮釋的古典作品-巴伯Samuel Barber的弦樂慢板"Adagio for Strings." Flight 643 曾被[ID&T]票選為電音史上第二最具影響力的舞曲作品,Lethal Industry 則有出神(Trance)樂中最令人難忘的高潮樂段, Traffic 則是他最出名，最具有能量爆發(fā)力的一首單曲，并成為荷蘭23年來唯一獲得排行第一的器樂曲。

2001年，Tiesto終于在DJ雜志所評(píng)選的DJ票選中，擊敗眾多大牌DJ，如愿以償?shù)牡巧狭耸澜绲谝坏奈恢茫�并且�?002年繼續(xù)蟬聯(lián)了這一至高無上的榮譽(yù)，對(duì)他自己來說，這無疑是他事業(yè)的最高峰。幾年前著名DJ Paul Oakenforld(保羅歐肯佛）在事業(yè)到達(dá)頂峰時(shí)提到他不想再當(dāng)DJ了，有人問他誰會(huì)是來的級(jí)巨星DJ，當(dāng)時(shí)的樂壇并沒有特別出色的人選，但保羅卻告訴媒體，有一個(gè)來自荷蘭的DJ叫做Tiesto，現(xiàn)場(chǎng)的媒體吃驚的問："他是誰？"，當(dāng)時(shí)根本沒有人聽過這個(gè)名字。但是，Tiesto的確辦到了， 2004年這國名DJ再度蟬連世界百大DJ的首位，再也沒有人覺得意外，2004年Trance曲風(fēng)再度獨(dú)領(lǐng)風(fēng)騷，進(jìn)占世界各大舞廳。　2003年，當(dāng)Tiesto一舉從無名英雄躍居世界第一時(shí)，他自己也嚇了一跳，他覺得一切似乎來得太快，雖然他這目標(biāo)有充份的野心和企圖，他自信可以達(dá)到世界前五名或前三名的位置，但真的太快了。

　　他覺得是他的好友Paul Van Dyk（保羅凡戴克）幫了他一個(gè)大忙，兩人一同出演的歐洲及西班牙Ibiza的表演，使得他名氣扶搖直上，Tiesto一舉成名原因當(dāng)然不止于此，2003年5月在荷蘭巨蛋25,000人前的個(gè)人秀，長達(dá)8小時(shí)的精彩DJ秀、每個(gè)星期四在英國Cream舞廳駐場(chǎng)，以及不停在歐洲和美國大型的派對(duì)表演，光是飛行的里程加起來應(yīng)該就可以飛到月亮了，他同時(shí)也成為2003年在最多觀眾面前表演放歌的DJ。

　　最重要的是，若你本身不夠好，再多的表演也沒有用，Tiesto是個(gè)非常棒的DJ，他知道如何營造感覺、他有一大箱的唱片、神乎奇技的接歌技巧和聰明的自我推銷、用之不盡的精力和對(duì)音樂的熱誠，在DJ臺(tái)上他會(huì)跟著音樂搖擺、放聲大笑并且和來跳舞的人有一股奇妙的結(jié)合的動(dòng)力，他總是精心挑選客人們喜歡的歌，這也難怪每個(gè)人離開派時(shí)總會(huì)說這是他們此生參加過最棒的一次舞會(huì)經(jīng)驗(yàn)。

　　u2018國民DJ’也是他的綽號(hào)，他是令人備感親切的好DJ，不是不可及的，小鬼崇拜他、想要效仿他，走在阿姆斯特丹街頭，小鬼們看到騎著自行車的他還會(huì)興高采烈的呼喚其他的同伴：“看！那是Tiesto。”

2016年2月23日晚，鐵叔Tiesto2016亞洲首秀在上海MYST引爆！聽說當(dāng)晚沒能來現(xiàn)場(chǎng)的小伙伴們朋友圈都被刷爆了！各種現(xiàn)場(chǎng)圖片直播、小視頻不斷刷屏，魔都的夜空與MYST舞池均被Tiesto點(diǎn)燃！

2018年3月2日—3日，參加ISY MUSIC FESTIVAL三亞國際音樂節(jié)。
