廖凱原先生是美國(guó)廖凱原基金會(huì)主席和美國(guó)國(guó)際軟件屋公司創(chuàng)辦人和主席。作為一家全球采購(gòu)?fù)獍竞椭饕墓緦?duì)公司解決方案供應(yīng)商，國(guó)際軟件屋公司2006年被福布斯雜志評(píng)為美國(guó)最大的私營(yíng)公司第167位，年收入超過(guò)20億美元。廖先生目前正在上海興建兩座酒店：一座是六星級(jí)的Conrad上海酒店，一座是七星級(jí)的尊雅(Jumeirah)漢唐新天地酒店。近況
廖凱原先生是出生在印尼的美籍華裔，是美國(guó)私人企業(yè)“國(guó)際軟件屋”創(chuàng)辦人兼主席。廖凱原先生熱心于慈善事業(yè)。他是“世界經(jīng)濟(jì)論壇”贊助人，“美國(guó)亞洲協(xié)會(huì)”董事，“博鰲亞洲論壇”2005年海南年會(huì)的主要贊助商之一。2010年10月，廖凱原捐贈(zèng)一億元資助清華大學(xué)法學(xué)學(xué)科發(fā)展。2007年12月，廖凱原先生受聘為北京大學(xué)名譽(yù)校董。根據(jù)2005年4月、2006年12月的協(xié)議和此次補(bǔ)充協(xié)議，廖凱原基金會(huì)對(duì)北大承諾捐贈(zèng)總額達(dá)2.242億元。 2005年4月，廖凱原基金會(huì)曾捐贈(zèng)5320萬(wàn)元人民幣用于建設(shè)北京大學(xué)政府管理學(xué)院的教學(xué)用樓，該樓被命名為廖凱原樓（Leo KoGuan Building）。 廖先生曾獲哥倫比亞大學(xué)國(guó)際與公共事務(wù)學(xué)院的國(guó)際關(guān)系碩士學(xué)位和紐約法學(xué)院法律博士（Juris Doctor）學(xué)位。 廖先生自2002年起任美國(guó)亞洲協(xié)會(huì)（Asia Society）董事，并設(shè)立基金支持“廖凱原美中關(guān)系項(xiàng)目”，以促進(jìn)美中友誼。廖先生的慈善事業(yè)致力于改善全世界所有人的福祉。在中國(guó)，他希望增進(jìn)高等教育的品質(zhì)。他是上海交通大學(xué)名譽(yù)校董和上海交通大學(xué)凱原法學(xué)院名譽(yù)教授，同時(shí)也是北京大學(xué)名譽(yù)校董，復(fù)旦大學(xué)校董和復(fù)旦大學(xué)法學(xué)院名譽(yù)教授。 2010年9月10日，美國(guó)廖凱原基金會(huì)主席、美國(guó)國(guó)際軟件屋公司創(chuàng)辦人和主席、美籍華裔廖凱原與清華大學(xué)簽訂協(xié)議，為推動(dòng)清華大學(xué)法學(xué)學(xué)科的發(fā)展捐資一億元人民幣。捐贈(zèng)儀式在工字廳東廳會(huì)議室舉行。廖凱原、校長(zhǎng)顧秉林、清華大學(xué)教育基金會(huì)理事長(zhǎng)賀美英共同簽署捐贈(zèng)協(xié)議。副校長(zhǎng)袁駟主持捐贈(zèng)儀式。 此次捐資意在支持清華大學(xué)法學(xué)院建設(shè)法律圖書(shū)館，建立“中國(guó)法治研究中心”，并設(shè)立講席教授、獎(jiǎng)學(xué)金、獎(jiǎng)教金等，以推動(dòng)清華大學(xué)法學(xué)教育的發(fā)展。 Leo KoGuan is the Chairman of Leo Koguan Foundation, USA and the Founder and Chairman of Software House International, United States, a global procurement outsourcing company and leading business to business solution provider. In 2006 Software House International was ranked by Forbes as the 167th largest private company in the United States with annual revenue of over USD 2 billions. Here in Shanghai, he is building 2 hotels; one is a 6-star Conrad Shanghai Hotel and the other is a 7-star Jumeirah Hantang Xintiandi Hotel. He holds a Master of International Affairs from the School of International and Public Affairs, Columbia University, and earned a Juris Doctor from the NewYork Law School. He serves as a member of the Board of Trustees of Asia Society, United States since 2002, and he endowed a fund to sponsor "The Leo KoGuan Program Series on U.S. - China Relations", promoting friendship between U.S. and China. He focuses his charity works on improving the well-being of all peoples in the world, and in China he hopes to better the quality of higher education. He is the Honorary Trustee of Peking University and the Honorary Member of the Board of Trustees of Shanghai Jiao Tong University. He is a Member of Board of Trustees and Honorary Professor of Law School, Fudan University.
