羅遠(yuǎn)明 現(xiàn)任呼吸疾病國家重點實驗室呼吸生理室/睡眠中心負(fù)責(zé)人、二級教授，博士生導(dǎo)師，博士后導(dǎo)師。擔(dān)任中華醫(yī)學(xué)會呼吸分會睡眠學(xué)組副組長、中國醫(yī)師學(xué)會睡眠分會常委、中國睡眠研究會常務(wù)理事。歐洲呼吸協(xié)會委員（中國代表2008-2011），2010年入選廣州市創(chuàng)新創(chuàng)業(yè)領(lǐng)軍人才。 擔(dān)任多家國際著名呼吸雜志包括SCI收錄的《European Respiratory Journal》、《Sleep Medicine》等雜志的審稿專家。

主要從事正常及疾病狀態(tài)特別是COPD、睡眠呼吸疾病患者的呼吸肌功能，呼吸中樞驅(qū)動研究。獲得五項發(fā)明專利包括一項國際發(fā)明專利授權(quán)，創(chuàng)造出具有自主知識產(chǎn)權(quán)的系列產(chǎn)品如膈肌功能檢測管、多導(dǎo)食道電極, 呼吸肌功能及呼吸中樞驅(qū)動檢測系統(tǒng)， 以第一完成人獲得二項廣州市科技進(jìn)步一等獎和一項廣東省科技進(jìn)步二等獎。 世界上許多國家包括英國、加拿大、澳大利亞等國的科研單位正在使用其研發(fā)的呼吸中樞驅(qū)動檢測系統(tǒng)。與英國帝國理工大學(xué)Michael I Polkey 教授，英國國王學(xué)院 John Moxham 教授有密切的合作關(guān)系。 在國際SCI 收錄的雜志上發(fā)表了大量論著。曾被香港呼吸協(xié)會、香港睡眠協(xié)會、臺灣呼吸與危重病學(xué)會、亞太呼吸學(xué)會、歐洲呼吸學(xué)會，美國呼吸學(xué)會特邀做有關(guān)呼吸中樞驅(qū)動的專題報告。2013年美國呼吸年會（ATS)特為其設(shè)立了一個60分鐘專場（Professor symposium)，介紹膈肌肌電研究新進(jìn)展。作為項目負(fù)責(zé)人獲得了多項國內(nèi)外科研課題包括四項國家自然科學(xué)基金、科技部國際合作重點項目基金、廣東省自然科學(xué)重點項目基金等。
