重點研究了馬先蒿屬根部半寄生植物的根際生態(tài)過程及其調(diào)控機(jī)制,就馬先蒿、叢枝菌根(AM)真菌和寄主植物三者間的復(fù)雜互作關(guān)系,及其與環(huán)境因子的相互作用進(jìn)行了較為系統(tǒng)的研究。從多個角度對根寄生植物和AM真菌的直接互作關(guān)系進(jìn)行了解析,拓展了寄生植物生物學(xué)和菌根生理生態(tài)學(xué)研究領(lǐng)域;在闡釋根部半寄生植物與生物及非生物根際環(huán)境的互作過程和調(diào)控機(jī)制方面提出了一些新觀點。在國內(nèi)外學(xué)術(shù)期刊發(fā)表科研論文28篇(以第一或通訊作者發(fā)表16篇,其中SCI植物學(xué)一區(qū)期刊論文7篇);作為第3培育人注冊花卉新品種7個,獲授權(quán)國家新技術(shù)發(fā)明專利2項。作為大會主席于2015年7月成功組辦了第13屆世界寄生植物大會,首次將該系列會議引入亞洲地區(qū)舉辦。主持科研項目10余項,包括2項國家自然科學(xué)基金面上項目和1項NSFC-新疆聯(lián)合基金項目合作課題。2011年入選中國科學(xué)院青年創(chuàng)新促進(jìn)會首屆會員,2014年被遴選為“云南省中青年學(xué)術(shù)技術(shù)帶頭人后備人才”和“浙江省嘉興市海鹽縣高層次創(chuàng)新型人才”,2015年入選中國科學(xué)院青年創(chuàng)新促進(jìn)會首屆優(yōu)秀會員。代表性期刊論文如下(*=通訊作者):1.
