個人簡介
汪茂教授從1995年加入美國摩托羅拉無線技術(shù)研究中心起,一直從事現(xiàn)代無線通信理論研究及技術(shù)開發(fā)。在摩托羅拉無線技術(shù)研究中心期間參與了CDMA蜂窩系統(tǒng)(2G IS-95、3G WCDMA)設(shè)計,共獲二十項美國專利,三次獲重大科技發(fā)明獎和杰出成就獎(Distinguished Achievement),被授予杰出科技發(fā)明家榮譽稱號(Distinguished Innovator)。加入高通研究中心后,汪教授投入了MediaFLO多媒體廣播系統(tǒng)的研制,是該系統(tǒng)的主要貢獻者,成功地將此系統(tǒng)轉(zhuǎn)化為 TIA1099 Terrestrial Multimedia Multicast國際標準。其后又承擔了繼 CDMA后高通自行設(shè)計的 OFDMA蜂窩系統(tǒng)研發(fā),并將這個系統(tǒng)成功地轉(zhuǎn)化為 TIA/3GPP2 Ultra Mobile Broadband Air Interface 及 IEEE 802.20 Mobile Broadband Wireless Access 兩個國際標準,獲得近四十項相關(guān)美國專利,且在IEEE Communications Magazine, IEEE Transactions on Wireless Communications, IEEE Transactions on Communications,IEEE Transactions on Signal Processing等期刊發(fā)表十余篇相關(guān)論文。曾榮獲 TIA/3GPP2 Ultra Mobile Broadband Air Interface獎、3GPP2 Ultra Mobile Broadband 成果獎。之后,汪教授致力于4G LTE技術(shù)的研發(fā),獲得二十多項美國專利。汪教授自受聘東南大學后即帶領(lǐng)由博士生和碩士生組成的團隊開始下一代(5G)通信技術(shù)研究,成功主持了能源物聯(lián)網(wǎng)無線通信系統(tǒng)設(shè)計及原型開發(fā)項目,圓滿完成了項目的總體設(shè)計,F(xiàn)正主持國家自然基金以及IALA VDES系統(tǒng)研究項目。汪茂教授在IEEE Transactions/Magazine等國際通信領(lǐng)域期刊發(fā)表論文三十余篇,擁有九十多項美國專利。
