郭新彪教授的研究方向?yàn)榄h(huán)境醫(yī)學(xué)和環(huán)境毒理學(xué)。近年來的研究主要集中在環(huán)境污染物,特別是空氣污染物的暴露和健康效應(yīng)評(píng)價(jià)、環(huán)境健康危險(xiǎn)度評(píng)價(jià)和環(huán)境健康促進(jìn)。郭新彪教授的研究工作得到了國(guó)家自然科學(xué)基金、教育部、衛(wèi)生部、科技部、環(huán)境保護(hù)部、北京大學(xué)、日本日中醫(yī)學(xué)會(huì)、日本公害基金以及美國(guó)NIH等的資助。郭教授曾主持國(guó)家十一五科技支撐計(jì)劃重點(diǎn)課題“機(jī)動(dòng)車尾氣對(duì)健康影響的評(píng)價(jià)技術(shù)研究”，還擔(dān)任國(guó)家十二五863計(jì)劃項(xiàng)目首席專家。郭新彪教授作為第一作者或責(zé)任作者在國(guó)內(nèi)外學(xué)術(shù)期刊發(fā)表論文論著100多篇，主編或參編教材、著作20多部。
