成就
近年來負(fù)責(zé)及參與10多項科研項目，資助單位包括美國聯(lián)邦公路局(Federal Highway Administration (FHWA))、美國公路合作研究計劃(National Cooperative Highway Research Program (NCHRP))、美國德克薩斯州交通廳(Texas Department of Transportation (TxDOT))、美國西南地區(qū)大學(xué)交通中心(Southwest Region University Transportation Center (SWUTC))等。研究內(nèi)容涵蓋瀝青混合料性質(zhì)、瀝青路面設(shè)計、柔性基層設(shè)計、輪胎與路面三維接觸壓力、瀝青加鋪層反射裂縫防治、膨脹土路基處治、膨脹土路基上路面裂縫防治、膨脹土路基上擋土墻設(shè)計等。近年來在國際土木界頂級英文雜志上發(fā)表英文論文20余篇，均被SCI或EI或同時收錄，其中一篇論文獲得2009年美國交通運(yùn)輸研究委員會土力學(xué)分部最佳論文獎(2009 Transportation Research Board (TRB) Soil Mechanics Section Best Paper Award)。
活動
近年來應(yīng)邀訪問日本道路協(xié)會、瑞典皇家理工學(xué)院、中國交通運(yùn)輸部公路科學(xué)研究院等并作學(xué)術(shù)報告，并先后30多次參加國際學(xué)術(shù)大會、美國聯(lián)邦公路局專家會并作學(xué)術(shù)報告，在GeoShanghai 2010國際會議中擔(dān)任道路材料實驗與建模分會場主席。
兼職
2006年至今擔(dān)任美國交通運(yùn)輸研究委員會(Transportation Research Board (TRB))多個分會委員，包括土工材料分會(Committee on Geosynthetics)、巖土力學(xué)建模分會(Committee on Modeling Techniques in Geomechanics)及國際交流分會(Committee on International Activities)，并擔(dān)任多種國際學(xué)術(shù)期刊及國際學(xué)術(shù)大會審稿人，包括美國土木工程師協(xié)會主辦的交通工程期刊(Journal of Transportation Engineering, American Society of Civil Engineers (ASCE))、土木工程材料期刊(Journal of Materials in Civil Engineering, ASCE)、基礎(chǔ)設(shè)施系統(tǒng)期刊(Journal of Infrastructure Systems, ASCE)，美國材料與試驗協(xié)會的實驗與評價期刊(Journal of Testing and Evaluation, American Society for Testing and Materials (ASTM))，國際道路工程期刊(International Journal of Pavement Engineering)，以及美國交通運(yùn)輸研究委員會年會(Transportation Research Board Annual Meeting)等。
