研究領域
主要研究領域為魚類進化生物學及魚類生物學，涉及魚類的行為、個體發(fā)育、分子進化、生物多樣性與保護等多方面的內容。曾赴美國自然歷史博物館、德國科隆大學遺傳研究所、日本東京大學、琵琶湖博物館等科研機構進行合作研究。
主持項目
國家自然科學基金“鰍科魚類若干基因的進化及單系問題研究”；“鳑鮍魚類個體發(fā)育特點及其系統(tǒng)發(fā)育意義研究”；“鳑鲏魚類與河蚌之間協(xié)同進化研究”；“鱖魚攝食行為發(fā)育及特殊喂食方式的比較研究”；中科院重點基金“魚類物種分化的分子生物學研究”； “973”項目三級子課題“長江流域魚類分布格局及其形成的地史背景”等；參加國家自然科學基金重點項目“東亞晚中生代以來淡水魚類主要類群的演化格局與地質背景”等課題多項。
