凱蒂勒克萊爾出生在得克薩斯州的圣安東尼奧，并在美國(guó)科羅拉多州萊克伍德長(zhǎng)大。她是三個(gè)兄弟姐妹中最小的,在一個(gè)緊密結(jié)合的家庭。她聽(tīng)力有障礙并且在20歲時(shí)被確診患有的美尼爾綜合征（Ménière’s disease）。一個(gè)退化性，內(nèi)在耳癥，其癥狀包括波動(dòng)的聽(tīng)力損失和眩暈診斷。 她的父親和姐姐都有美尼爾氏病。
