在著手草擬履歷表之前,請注意以下幾點:
整體長度
長度以一頁至兩頁左右為最佳,盡量不要超過二頁,因為通常不會有太多顯赫的經(jīng)歷需要大寫特寫。如果會超過一頁,可使用小一點的字體、調(diào)整頁邊(Margin)或用更簡潔的寫法來減少版面。
打字排版
檢查錯誤
任何申請文件千萬不要有錯字,所以一再的檢查是必要的,可以請朋友協(xié)助檢查是否通暢。可以先念一遍聽聽看是否通順,然后再逐字檢查拼音、時態(tài)、單復數(shù)等文法問題。
寫作順序
就履歷表而言,通常采用「照時間順序排列(The Chronological Resume)」的方式,有由過去到現(xiàn)在,或由現(xiàn)在往過去回推兩種順序,一般采用后者。
精簡文句
在數(shù)百份申請文件中,評審委員通常只能先瀏覽你的履歷表,而無法詳讀,因此簡潔扼要的敘述就比冗長的文句更能吸引審查委員的目光,中、英文履歷皆如此。讓任何一筆資料都一目了然,避免一段超過六行,如果會超過的話,請重寫一遍,把它分成兩段來寫。一個很有效的簡短文句方式就是省去主詞,用動詞詞組開頭。以下舉一篇英文的例子,請注意下面的不同寫法:
冗長的文句: During my internship at FSE in July and August 1997, I reorganized the counter service system, which ended up resulting in a savings of a great deal of money-perhaps 3000 NT dollars per day because of the more efficient work procedure. The new arrangement benefited not only myself, but also others who worked with me at the office so that our group was honored as the best team of that year.
簡要的敘述: Summer, 1997 Designed an dimplemented new counter service system, resulting in a cost savings of approximately 3000 NTD per day and increased employee efficiency. Honor:The best team of year 1997
