Ladies and gentlemen,

The topic of my speech is "New Tianquan, great changes" I hope you like it.

     Everybody has his or her hometown, they all love their hometowns. Today I’ll talk something interesting about my hometown---Tianquan. The named "Tianquan" actually only applies to this small classical town, which is located in the west of Sichuan province. If you would set foot in it, you should see rivers are clear and mountains are green. The weather here is so nice, spring is warm, summer is not too hot and winter is not too cold. People here all enjoy the weather, they say Tianquan is actually a living palace for God. It is a real beautiful home and eco-garden. And tourists from home and abroad give it a funny name "The nature Oxygen Bar". Hearing this, I’m very proud.  

As we know that reforming and opening up to the outside world has brought about great changes in Tianquan, which has a long history. It’s said that about Qin Dynasty there were just people living and keeping a good habit of Yincha. Believe it or not, Tea is one of the characteristics of here, and Tianquan has become famous exporter of tea. The best tea is called Jinbian Tea, it’s said that it had been valuable things send to the king. Tea has been a part of Chinese cultures for 5,000 years and Tianquan is a typical place.

In a way of etiquetle, it is proper to fill another cup before filling one own, and the local custom is to thank the pourer by taping the bent index and middle fingers on the table, which as the ritual of bowing in gratitude. It’s all that old people told me, is it interesting? In the past, Tianquan was regarded as the important store in the south-west great tea business.

Tianquan is also famous for its sight-seeing places. Along the town is a beautiful river, which we called Qingyi River. Along the river are many trees, so look at the water, the color is only green, just like a jade. Besides, there is Wenbi park, Erlang Mount and Laba River. In Laba River there is a natural wild animal park, it’s very famous, where you can see wild animals, such as deer, monkeys, bears and pandas.  Leaves Day attracts many tourists to visit it.

As the reforming and opening policies are being carried on, my hometown Tianquan will have brilliant future and people will enrich their life. They are marching along the well-off socialist road.
