閻晶明，山西偏關(guān)人。中共黨員。1983年畢業(yè)于山西大學(xué)中文系，同年入陜西師大中文系為魯迅與中國(guó)現(xiàn)代文學(xué)專業(yè)研究生，1986年畢業(yè)，獲四川大學(xué)文學(xué)碩士學(xué)位。

第十三屆全國(guó)政協(xié)文化文史和學(xué)習(xí)委員會(huì)委員。

2018年1月24日，政協(xié)第十二屆全國(guó)委員會(huì)常務(wù)委員會(huì)第二十四次會(huì)議通過(guò)，閻晶明當(dāng)選中國(guó)人民政治協(xié)商會(huì)議第十三屆全國(guó)委員會(huì)委員。

2018年3月15日，政協(xié)第十三屆全國(guó)委員會(huì)第一次主席會(huì)議通過(guò)，閻晶明當(dāng)選文化文史和學(xué)習(xí)委員會(huì)委員。

2002年4月, 應(yīng)美國(guó)東方文化基金會(huì)，美國(guó)中國(guó)作家協(xié)會(huì)和耶魯大學(xué)的邀請(qǐng)，他隨中國(guó)作家代表團(tuán)訪問(wèn)參觀了洛杉磯，華盛頓，紐約和其他城市，到耶魯大學(xué)和馬克吐溫故居進(jìn)行了文化交流。

曾獲第二屆馮牧文學(xué)獎(jiǎng)·青年批評(píng)家獎(jiǎng)。

作為文藝評(píng)論家多次參加影視研討，由袁莉、斯琴高娃、胡亞捷、申軍誼等主演的電視連續(xù)劇《母親，母親》在安徽衛(wèi)視和東方衛(wèi)視熱播后，2012年9月22日，編劇趙冬苓，導(dǎo)演李云亮，文藝評(píng)論家仲呈祥、閻晶明、曾慶瑞、范詠戈等做了精彩研討發(fā)言。編劇趙冬苓歸納了紅色母親成功煉成的原因，與會(huì)專家認(rèn)為《母親，母親》突破了以往“宅門戲”的窠臼，是家族敘事的一次成功突圍。圖為《文藝報(bào)》總編閻晶明 。

作為文化名人多次赴各地交流。2013年5月31日，“文化名人進(jìn)校園”活動(dòng)在西北師范大學(xué)舉行，作家賈平凹、劉震云，評(píng)論家雷達(dá)，以及來(lái)自中國(guó)社會(huì)科學(xué)院、蘭州大學(xué)等高校和科研機(jī)構(gòu)的專家學(xué)者參加了本次活動(dòng)。中國(guó)文學(xué)如何“走出去”也成了與會(huì)代表討論的焦點(diǎn)。甘肅省作協(xié)主席邵振國(guó)認(rèn)為，中國(guó)文學(xué)走向世界，要趨向于民族性書寫及本民族自身命運(yùn)的關(guān)懷，趨向于樹立形象背后的生命意識(shí)，趨向于具有清醒的文體意識(shí)�！段乃噲�(bào)》總編輯閻晶明表示，中國(guó)文學(xué)走向世界，對(duì)于作家而言不應(yīng)該刻意地去追求，而是通過(guò)自己的文學(xué)實(shí)踐和思想價(jià)值去被世界認(rèn)可，否則就失去了文學(xué)的本真。他同時(shí)提出，“中國(guó)文學(xué)今后更應(yīng)該向傳統(tǒng)文學(xué)看齊，向經(jīng)典看齊，這樣才能從細(xì)節(jié)中做到最質(zhì)樸的文化自信”。

《闖關(guān)東前傳》宣傳總監(jiān)王奎龍介紹，該劇熱播后，閻晶明發(fā)表文章，呼吁有責(zé)任的作家做大歷史的書寫者。引發(fā)反響。

2014年2月任中國(guó)作協(xié)書記處書記。

2016年12月2日，中國(guó)作家協(xié)會(huì)第九屆全國(guó)委員會(huì)第一次會(huì)議在北京舉行，閻晶明當(dāng)選為主席團(tuán)委員。

出版有著作《十年流變———新時(shí)期文學(xué)側(cè)面觀》（1992年）、《批評(píng)的策略》（1996年）、《魯迅的文化視野》（2001年）、《魯迅與陳西瀅》（2001年）、《獨(dú)白與對(duì)話》（2004年）等，主編有《魯迅演講集》、    《新批評(píng)文叢》、“大西部長(zhǎng)篇小說(shuō)叢書”等。

A well known writer,a famous Novelist and Literature Critic, he was born in Shanxi province of China in 1961. He graduated from the Shanxi University with a BA Degree in 1983, his first degree in Chinese literature, as the first professional is China Ancient Literature, same year, he has gained admission to the Department of Chinese Literature of Shaanxi Normal University, become a full-time post-graduate student for study to Lu Xun and history of modern Chinese literary , and then he post-graduated from the Sichuan University and access to a Literature Master ’s degree in 1986.

1986-2002， He has a position in Branch Association of Shanxi of China Writers Association at Taiyuan city, now He holds a position in the China Writers Association at Beijing. he has published many book， For example the following books，Decade of Evolution --The New Era Literary Sde View(1992), Criticized the strategy (1996),Lu Xun’s Cultural Vision(2001), Lu Xun and Chen Xi Ying (2001),Monologues and Dialogue (2004), and he became Editor-in-Chief of The Lu Xun’s Seech ,New Citicism Series, Novel Series for the Great Western China，etcetera.

April 2002 , The visit is the result of an invitation the U.S. Eastern Culture Foundation，the Association of Chinese Writers and the Yale University， he with a delegation of China Writers Association to visited the Los Angeles, Washington, New York and other cities, on a visit to the Yale University and Mark Twainu2018s Former Residence for cultural exchanges.
