B.o.B憑借他和BrunoMars合作的出道單曲《Nothin’ On You》擠下了連續(xù)5個(gè)星期排名第一的蕾哈娜，順利拿下冠軍。也讓他成為10月以來(lái)第四位以首支上榜單曲就拿下全美單曲榜冠軍的男歌手。之前的三位分別是英國(guó)的Jay Sean、Jason Derulo以及制作人Taio Cruz。而在此之前，自2005年11月到2006年4月，四位男歌手克里斯·布朗、James Blunt(詹姆斯·布朗特)、NE-YO、丹尼爾·波特分別憑借他們的出道單曲登頂過(guò)全美單曲榜。

音樂(lè)生涯
1988年11月15日，B.o.B出生于美國(guó)北卡羅萊納州溫斯頓-賽倫。他初次獲得公眾注意是在2007年，當(dāng)時(shí)他和Wes Fif合作的歌曲《HaterzEverywhere》獲得成功。之后與楊·德瑞（Young Dre）的混音版出現(xiàn)在游戲《拳擊之夜4》中。他的首支單曲《I’ll Be In theSky》于2008年末面世。美國(guó) 阿邦網(wǎng)認(rèn)為這首歌“睿智、時(shí)髦，是專輯的有力序曲”，并將其列為“2008年百?gòu)?qiáng)說(shuō)唱歌曲”榜第13名。他還同T.I.合作了后者專輯《Paper Trail》中的《On Top of theWorld》一曲。這首歌同另一首同樣由他制作的歌曲《Generation Lost》同列排行榜第32位。

首張專輯
B.o.B的首張專輯《B.o.B Presents: The Adventures of Bobby Ray》本來(lái)預(yù)計(jì)在2010年5月25日發(fā)布，但是由于《Nothin’ on You》一曲的大獲成功，被提前到了4月27日。專輯一經(jīng)面世便好評(píng)不斷，首周便售出84000份拷貝，并登上公告牌二百?gòu)?qiáng)專輯榜頭名。他也因此成為第13個(gè)出道專輯在首周便登上專輯榜榜首的藝人。該專輯由T.I.的音樂(lè)廠牌Grand Hustle唱片公司出品，收錄了B.o.B同T.I.、盧普·菲亞斯科、艾米納姆等人合作的曲目。
B.o.B的打榜單曲《Nothin’ on You》已發(fā)布MV。他還發(fā)布了《Bet I》重制版，該曲最初來(lái)自他的混音帶《May 25th》。除了《Nothin’ on You》外，專輯中的另外三只單曲為：《Don’t Let Me Fall》（2010年4月6日發(fā)布）、《Airplanes》（2010年4月13日）以及《Bet I》（發(fā)布于2010年4月20日)。
