國際地科聯(lián)固體地球成分與演化委員會委員、澳大利亞Macquarie 大學兼職教授、中國礦物巖石地球化學學會理事、巖漿巖專業(yè)委員會主任、中國地質(zhì)學會巖石學專業(yè)委員會副主任、江蘇省地質(zhì)學會常務(wù)理事、《科學通報》特邀編輯、《巖石學報》編委、《巖石礦物學雜志》編委、《礦物巖石地球化學通報》編委。主要從事中國東南部殼幔作用與巖石圈動力學研究,包括對花崗巖成巖成礦機理、地幔巖石地球化學的研究。已在國內(nèi)外學術(shù)刊物發(fā)表論文70篇,1995年獲國家教委科技進步一等獎。2004年獲教育部提名國家科學技術(shù)獎自然科學一等獎。2004年獲江蘇省優(yōu)秀地質(zhì)科技工作者稱號。
