Chris Rene是2011年第一季由FOX電視臺(tái)舉辦的《美版 X音素》季軍。Chris Rene 在初賽中演唱原創(chuàng)作品《Young Homie》一舉成名，受到評(píng)委一致好評(píng)，該段視頻也在互聯(lián)網(wǎng)上廣為流傳。

　　Chris Rene曾經(jīng)染上毒癮并且被強(qiáng)制戒毒，上節(jié)目的時(shí)候他坦誠(chéng)已經(jīng)70天已經(jīng)沒(méi)碰毒品。Chris Rene 12歲開(kāi)始抽煙，15歲開(kāi)始喝酒，并且染上了毒癮，幾度崩潰。在戒毒所出來(lái)以后，Chris Rene覺(jué)得自己不應(yīng)該再揮霍人生，他渴望在舞臺(tái)上展示自己的才華，并且渴望用歌聲賺錢養(yǎng)活自己3歲的兒子。如他所愿，Chris Rene在《X音素》以《Young Homie 》贏得了評(píng)委和觀眾的起立致敬，在國(guó)外的視頻網(wǎng)站YouTube，他錄制的視頻在兩個(gè)星期內(nèi)達(dá)到了160萬(wàn)人次的訪問(wèn)量。他如愿以償。
