2004年，李立在他大學(xué)2年級(jí)時(shí)發(fā)起并創(chuàng)建了學(xué)校的環(huán)境保護(hù)社團(tuán)；2005年聯(lián)合河南省的二十多所高校創(chuàng)建了"綠意中原"河南省綠色青年交流與合作中心；2006年當(dāng)選中國(guó)大學(xué)生環(huán)境組織合作論壇（CEF）指導(dǎo)委員，開始關(guān)注能源、氣候變化及意識(shí)教育議題；2007年當(dāng)選為第四屆CEF總協(xié)調(diào)，發(fā)起了以"氣候變化與青年-大學(xué)生環(huán)境責(zé)任"的第四屆CEF；在論壇結(jié)束后他代表CEF與其他6家青年環(huán)保組織一同發(fā)起了中國(guó)青年應(yīng)對(duì)氣候變化行動(dòng)網(wǎng)絡(luò)（CYCAN）。
現(xiàn)在CYCAN已經(jīng)是中國(guó)最大的關(guān)注氣候變化議題的青年環(huán)保組織。2009.10.24由CYCAN發(fā)起的中國(guó)青年應(yīng)對(duì)氣候變化行動(dòng)日就有30個(gè)省份，至少300所大學(xué)的青年直接參與其中。2009年12月在他的帶領(lǐng)下CYCAN發(fā)起了中國(guó)青年COP15團(tuán)隊(duì)并參與哥本哈根氣候大會(huì)，同年7月與北京大學(xué)清潔發(fā)展機(jī)制研究會(huì)、清華大學(xué)綠色協(xié)會(huì)一同舉辦了，第一次由中國(guó)青年自主發(fā)起的關(guān)于氣候變化與能源的峰會(huì)"國(guó)際青年氣候變化與能源峰會(huì)"。在CYCAN工作前，李立曾在中華環(huán)�；饡�(huì)和中外對(duì)話工作。2008年2－6月他曾入選由北京大學(xué)環(huán)境學(xué)院與環(huán)保部宣教中心在北京大學(xué)開設(shè)的，"環(huán)境技術(shù)的市場(chǎng)化"2008貝邇綠色示范課程。2008年11月他受泰國(guó)朱拉隆功大學(xué)社會(huì)學(xué)研究所邀請(qǐng)，學(xué)習(xí)"全球化與社會(huì)化"國(guó)際課程。2009年他獲得TNC&SEE獎(jiǎng)學(xué)金學(xué)習(xí)由印第安納大學(xué)、北大、中山大學(xué)，共同開發(fā)的“首屆綠色領(lǐng)導(dǎo)力課程”。 另外，做為中國(guó)青年代表他參加了由聯(lián)合國(guó)氣候變化框架公約委員會(huì)分別在波蘭和哥本哈根舉辦的第十四、十五屆締約國(guó)大會(huì)。
2010年他被聘為《北京青年報(bào)》低碳專家，入選中科院聯(lián)想之星CEO特訓(xùn)班，成為最年輕的學(xué)員之一，接受包括柳傳志在內(nèi)的專業(yè)導(dǎo)師教導(dǎo)。2011年他還參加了LEAD China的課程學(xué)習(xí)。

Li Li is graduated from The P.L.A.Information Engineering University and holds an Information Management and Information System degree. He is currently leading the China Youth Climate Action Network(CYCAN).When he was a sophomore in College, he started an environment protection association on campus. In 2005 he united 20 universities in Henan province and founded the Green Henan. In 2006 he participated in the College Environmental Forum (CEF) that focused one nergy conservation and emission reduction. Li waslaterelectedas the Under-Secretary-General for the Forum. In 2007,he founded CYCAN with six other youth environment organizations. Atpresent, CYCAN is the largest youth environmental organization in China that focusing on climate changes issues. CYCAN has launched pilot programs in 23 provinces and more than 150 universities. Outside CYCAN,Li also works for the China Environmental Protection Foundation(CEPF) and China Dialogue. In addition, he has enrolled in the BELL climate change and marketization program in Peking University as well as a Globalizati on and Social Transformation program in Chulalongkorn University,Thailand. Li also attended the COP14 in Poznan,Poland as the CYCAN delegation.
