1985年7月大學(xué)畢業(yè)后留在南京師范大學(xué)工作至今。1991年7月研究生畢業(yè)于南京師范大學(xué)基礎(chǔ)數(shù)學(xué)專業(yè)，獲理學(xué)碩士學(xué)位。1992年9月至1995年7月在中國科技大學(xué)大學(xué)數(shù)學(xué)系攻讀博士學(xué)位。 1995年9月至1997年12月在南京大學(xué)天文系做博士后。 2001年11月至2003年6月在德國科隆大學(xué)進(jìn)行博士后工作研究。

主要從事動力系統(tǒng)，分形幾何的研究。 主持中國博士后基金一項，國家自然科學(xué)基金二項；參加一項 "973"項目。
