他的主要貢獻在美國憲法、美國政治思想與西方政治思想領域。Wilson教授是《A Jurisprudential History》第四修正案作者、《American Political Parties & Constitutional Politics》、《Separation of Powers and Good Government》和《The Supreme Court and American Constitutionalism》三部書的主編。他的著作曾發(fā)表在《Metaphysics評論》、《the American Political Science評論》、《Academic Questions》、《Law評論》與編輯書刊中。Wilson教授自2006年開始擔任自由制度研究協(xié)會主席。他曾是莫斯科大學、莫斯科1994-95年國際司法研究所的資深學者；1984-1987年，擔任美國首席法官Warren E. Burger 與 William H. Rehnquist的助理研究員。1996-2004年，先后擔任The National Association of Scholars (NAS)的Acting President與Executive Director，《Academic Questions》的雜志主編，他目前擔任政治哲學刊物《Interpretation》的編者。他先后于北卡羅來納州立大學獲得學士學位，在北伊利諾伊大學獲得碩士學位，在美國天主教大學獲得博士學位。
