1991年7月畢業(yè)于山東科技大學(xué)，2000年8月獲中國科學(xué)院地質(zhì)與地球物理研究所地質(zhì)工程專業(yè)博士學(xué)位。2000年9月至2002年6月，在中國地質(zhì)科學(xué)院從事博士后研究工作。2002年7月至今，在中國地質(zhì)科學(xué)院地質(zhì)力學(xué)研究所工作，現(xiàn)任所科技委副主任、科技處處長。多年來一直從事工程地質(zhì)與地質(zhì)災(zāi)害領(lǐng)域的科研工作，先后主持國家級(jí)或省部級(jí)科研項(xiàng)目20余項(xiàng)（包括國家國家科技支撐計(jì)劃項(xiàng)目、國家科技基礎(chǔ)性研究專項(xiàng)課題、國家自然科學(xué)基金項(xiàng)目、國土資源大調(diào)查項(xiàng)目、鐵道部科技開發(fā)項(xiàng)目等）。近10年來，結(jié)合青藏鐵路、滇藏鐵路、大瑞鐵路、三峽引水工程、中緬管道工程、哈中管道工程、西氣東輸二線等國家級(jí)重大工程規(guī)劃和建設(shè)，對(duì)青藏高原及周邊地區(qū)重大地質(zhì)災(zāi)害和疑難工程地質(zhì)問題開展了一系列研究工作，研究成果的社會(huì)經(jīng)濟(jì)效益顯著。在國內(nèi)外重要刊物發(fā)表論文130余篇，其中第一作者59篇，以第一作者出版專著2部。培養(yǎng)或合作培養(yǎng)博士生5名、碩士生3名，合作培養(yǎng)博士后2名。

近年來獲得主要科技獎(jiǎng)勵(lì)和榮譽(yù)稱號(hào)有：（1）國土資源科學(xué)技術(shù)獎(jiǎng)一等獎(jiǎng)（排名第一），（2）國土資源科學(xué)技術(shù)獎(jiǎng)二等獎(jiǎng)（排名第二），（3）中國地質(zhì)調(diào)查成果一等獎(jiǎng)（排名第二），（4）云南省地質(zhì)災(zāi)害研究會(huì)優(yōu)秀報(bào)告一等獎(jiǎng)（排名第一），（5）山東省科技進(jìn)步三等獎(jiǎng)（排名第四），（6）北京青年優(yōu)秀科技論文二等獎(jiǎng)（排名第一），（7）中國工程地質(zhì)專業(yè)委員會(huì)優(yōu)秀論文獎(jiǎng)（排名第一）；（8）第六屆黃汲清青年地質(zhì)科技獎(jiǎng)（2012），（9）中共中央、國務(wù)院和中央軍委授予“全國抗震救災(zāi)模范”稱號(hào)（2010），（10）第十一屆中國地質(zhì)學(xué)會(huì)青年地質(zhì)科技獎(jiǎng)－銀錘獎(jiǎng)（2008），（11）獲中組部、國土資源部等四部委聯(lián)合授予的“全國農(nóng)村地質(zhì)災(zāi)害培訓(xùn)行動(dòng)先進(jìn)個(gè)人”稱號(hào)（2007）。
