人物成就
從事植物病蟲害生物學、生物防治和轉(zhuǎn)基因生物安全性研究工作，曾主持和參加熒光假單胞菌防治小麥全蝕病、轉(zhuǎn)基因植物生物安全監(jiān)測與評價等項目的科研工作，現(xiàn)主持973基礎研究項目"農(nóng)業(yè)重要轉(zhuǎn)基因生物安全性研究"和863課題"轉(zhuǎn)基因水稻環(huán)境安全研究"等。發(fā)表研究論文、編著、綜述評論等各種著作80篇（部），擁有發(fā)明專利1件，獲省、部級科技進步獎2項。
社會兼職
現(xiàn)任生物安全研究中心首席科學家、主任，《國家重點基礎研究發(fā)展規(guī)劃？quot;農(nóng)業(yè)重要轉(zhuǎn)基因生物安全性研究"項目首席科學家。中國農(nóng)科院學術委員會委員，中國植物病理學會副理事長，國家農(nóng)業(yè)轉(zhuǎn)基因生物安全委員會副主任委員，中國進出境動植物檢疫風險分析委員會委員，中國農(nóng)業(yè)科學院植物保護研究所研究員等。2016年6月12日當選第五屆農(nóng)業(yè)轉(zhuǎn)基因生物安全委員會委員。

YufaPeng is professor and director at the Center for Biosafety Research, Institute of Plant Protection, ChineseAcademy of Agricultural Sciences at Beijing. He is well experienced withbiosafety research and regulation of crops derived from modernbiotechnology. His major emphasis inrecent years has been on developing methodologies for safety assessment ofgenetically modified organisms (GMOs) and understanding the biological andecological interactions between crops and its pests or pathogenicmicroorganisms. He is an overall coordinator for several national projects on biosafetyassessment and management of genetically modified (GM or transgenic) plants. Heis a member of the National Biosafety Committee in the Peopleu2019s Republic of China,director of the Chinese Society for Plant Protectionu2019s Committee on Biosafety,and vice-president of the Chinese Society for Plant Pathology. He also acts as Chinese delegate for Codex AdHoc Intergovernmental Task Force on Foods Derived from Biotechnology and in theexpert group of the Cartagena Protocol on Biosafety in Biotechnology for China. HereceivedhisB.Sc. in Agronomy from CentralChinaAgriculturalUniversity in 1981 and his M.Sc. inplant pathology from ChineseAcademy of AgriculturalSciences in 1984.
