詹姆斯·尼爾他的身影出現(xiàn)于1913年至1930年的113部電影中。他的墓地在薩凡納（Savannah）的博納文德墓園（Bonaventure Cemetery）。他的妻子是伊迪薩·查普曼(Edythe Chapman)，兩人經(jīng)常在舞臺和銀幕上聯(lián)袂出演。1902年，這對夫妻主演了百老匯戲劇《紅騎士》。請不要把詹姆斯·尼爾和劇作家尤金·奧尼爾(Eugene O’Neill)的父親——演員詹姆斯·奧尼爾(James O’Neill)相混淆。
