1993－1997英國(guó)劍橋大學(xué)博士；
1997－2001美國(guó)華盛頓大學(xué)（St. Louis）生物系 博士后；
2001－2006 瑞士Friedrich Miecher生物醫(yī)學(xué)研究所 （FMI） 研究組組長(zhǎng)；
2006年起 清華大學(xué)教授、博導(dǎo)、“百人計(jì)劃”引進(jìn)人才；
2010年12月起任同濟(jì)大學(xué)生命科學(xué)與技術(shù)學(xué)院院長(zhǎng)、醫(yī)學(xué)與生命科學(xué)部副主任（兼）。
主要研究方向 表觀遺傳調(diào)控的分子機(jī)制與功能 干細(xì)胞分化與癌癥形成的表觀遺傳調(diào)控網(wǎng)絡(luò)。
