    朱宣咸 (1927年浙江——2002年重慶),又名:浙人。杰出的中國畫畫家、新興木刻的先行者、漫畫家與美術(shù)活動(dòng)家,20世紀(jì)中期與后期我國美術(shù)事業(yè)的開拓者之一。 

    1940年代,由浙江到上海,投身進(jìn)步美術(shù),以作品為武器戰(zhàn)斗在抗日戰(zhàn)爭的前沿。是早期上海美術(shù)與浙江美術(shù)的代表之一,1949年后西南大區(qū)美術(shù)、四川美術(shù)與重慶美術(shù)的奠基人之一。

    “朱宣咸藝術(shù)回顧展”被中華人民共和國文化和旅游部評(píng)為全國優(yōu)秀項(xiàng)目。該展覽2017年5月在重慶美術(shù)館舉行,由中國美術(shù)家協(xié)會(huì)等主辦,重慶市美術(shù)家協(xié)會(huì)、浙江省美術(shù)家協(xié)會(huì)、上海市美術(shù)家協(xié)會(huì)、四川省美術(shù)家協(xié)會(huì)等承辦,四川美術(shù)學(xué)院等協(xié)辦。

     

    藝術(shù)精神

    大半個(gè)世紀(jì)以來,朱宣咸的藝術(shù)之路是由投槍匕首而到純美藝術(shù),畢生彰顯了對(duì)真、善、美理想不懈追求與謳歌的藝術(shù)精神。

     

    藝術(shù)風(fēng)貌

    對(duì)中西繪畫、傳統(tǒng)與現(xiàn)代美術(shù)孜孜不倦的探索,朱宣咸在中國畫中融入西方藝術(shù)的元素,在版畫、漫畫等西畫中賦予寫意等中國畫修養(yǎng)。在深厚遒勁的傳統(tǒng)功力基礎(chǔ)上,師傳統(tǒng)而不泥古,充滿新意、充滿生機(jī)、充滿清新的氣息與積極向上之朝氣。形成了中西繪畫相結(jié)合、傳統(tǒng)與現(xiàn)代相交融的藝術(shù)成就。

    創(chuàng)作了一大批洋溢著鮮明時(shí)代感、社會(huì)性、學(xué)術(shù)性、藝術(shù)多元性、系統(tǒng)完整性與文獻(xiàn)價(jià)值的中國畫、中國新興木刻版畫、時(shí)政漫畫、水彩畫、水粉畫、插畫、連環(huán)畫等作品,藝貫中西、碩果累累。 

     

    展覽與出版

    1944年起,朱宣咸不少作品發(fā)表于當(dāng)時(shí)上海、浙江的各報(bào)刊,并參加一系列進(jìn)步美術(shù)展覽與進(jìn)步美術(shù)運(yùn)動(dòng)。1949年后,作品入選一系列重要展覽與國家級(jí)美展,被中國美術(shù)館等收藏,多部大型文獻(xiàn)和美術(shù)辭書收錄,主要媒體專題評(píng)論,發(fā)表上千次。

    先后在香港、重慶、浙江、上海等舉辦“朱宣咸作品展”、“朱宣咸從藝五十五年畫展”、“世紀(jì)回眸——朱宣咸作品故鄉(xiāng)行邀請(qǐng)展”、“清氣 · 朱宣咸中國畫、版畫小品展”、“朱宣咸畫展”、“朱宣咸藝術(shù)展”、“朱宣咸藝術(shù)回顧展”、“丹青歲月——朱宣咸中國畫作品展”等個(gè)人畫展。

    出版《朱宣咸作品選》、《朱宣咸花鳥畫選輯》、《朱宣咸木刻版畫集》、《朱宣咸風(fēng)景木刻版畫選輯》、《朱宣咸漫畫》、《藝術(shù)常青——美術(shù)家朱宣咸》、《朱宣咸美術(shù)作品選》等中西繪畫多個(gè)畫種的個(gè)人畫集。 

     

    在中國最早介入現(xiàn)代藝術(shù)的那一批人,

    早期上海美術(shù)與浙江美術(shù)的代表之一

    20世紀(jì)上半葉,作為在中國最早介入現(xiàn)代藝術(shù)的那一批人,朱宣咸由浙江到上海,投身海上藝術(shù)、魯迅新興木刻版畫、以作品為武器戰(zhàn)斗在了抗日戰(zhàn)爭淪陷區(qū)前沿。1946年加入中華全國美協(xié),創(chuàng)作了大量作品,是早期上海美術(shù)與浙江美術(shù)的代表之一。

    參與早期美術(shù)事業(yè)的建立

    1940年代,朱宣咸與劉開渠、張樂平、龐薰琹、楊可揚(yáng)等作為美術(shù)界代表,在上海簽署了中國近現(xiàn)代美術(shù)史上具有劃時(shí)代意義的“美術(shù)工作者宣言”(發(fā)表于《大公報(bào)》),決心“為人民服務(wù),依照新民主主義所指示的目標(biāo),創(chuàng)造人民的新美術(shù)”,該宣言的發(fā)表也意味著國統(tǒng)區(qū)美術(shù)史從此翻開了嶄新的一頁。

    同時(shí),進(jìn)入白區(qū)進(jìn)步美術(shù)力量核心的中華全國美術(shù)協(xié)會(huì)、中華全國木刻協(xié)會(huì)、中華全國漫畫協(xié)會(huì)聯(lián)合辦事處,參與早期美術(shù)事業(yè)的建立。 

     

    里程碑歷史事件中唯一的美術(shù)家

    作為核心成員、朱宣咸1940年代在上海直接參與《觀察》工作、并親歷“《觀察》事件”,是這一被稱為中國近代史上自由民主運(yùn)動(dòng)的一面旗幟、具有里程碑意義之自由民主運(yùn)動(dòng)中唯一的美術(shù)家。

    四川美術(shù)與重慶美術(shù)的奠基人之一

    1940年代末,朱宣咸參加中國人民解放軍;1949年底,隨軍南下到達(dá)四川重慶。是解放重慶入城式隊(duì)伍前高舉的大幅領(lǐng)袖油畫畫像的作者。1951年,任中華全國美術(shù)工作者協(xié)會(huì)(今中國美術(shù)家協(xié)會(huì))重慶執(zhí)委;同年,參與創(chuàng)建重慶市文聯(lián)。1953年,參與創(chuàng)建并作為負(fù)責(zé)人之一領(lǐng)導(dǎo)了西南美術(shù)工作者協(xié)會(huì)(工作范圍涵蓋當(dāng)時(shí)西南大區(qū)的重慶市、四川省、貴州省、云南省、西康。1981年,負(fù)責(zé)籌備創(chuàng)建重慶市美術(shù)家協(xié)會(huì),擔(dān)任首屆常務(wù)副主席兼秘書長;發(fā)起創(chuàng)建重慶國畫院,任顧問。負(fù)責(zé)籌備創(chuàng)建重慶美專,任校長。主持了1949年后最早的重慶美術(shù)館(解放碑夫子池美術(shù)展覽館)工作。先后擔(dān)任文化、新聞、出版等美術(shù)方面負(fù)責(zé)人。作為20世紀(jì)中期與后期我國美術(shù)事業(yè)的開拓者之一,1949年后西南大區(qū)美術(shù)、四川與重慶美術(shù)的重要奠基人之一,對(duì)于建立、推動(dòng)和促進(jìn)川渝等近現(xiàn)代美術(shù)事業(yè)的形成、繁榮與發(fā)展作出了重要貢獻(xiàn)。

     

    藝術(shù)創(chuàng)造與藝術(shù)創(chuàng)造力

    朱宣咸創(chuàng)作了一大批大氣磅礴、品種豐富,具有筆墨當(dāng)隨時(shí)代之學(xué)術(shù)性的中國畫;一大批系統(tǒng)完整來自新興木刻本源、具有表現(xiàn)主義特色、時(shí)代感與抒情性之新興木刻版畫;同時(shí),也是1950年代與60年代創(chuàng)作與發(fā)表漫畫作品數(shù)量最大的美術(shù)家之一。還廣泛涉獵與創(chuàng)作了一大批水彩、水粉、插畫與連環(huán)畫。

    這,也體現(xiàn)了其特有的藝術(shù)學(xué)術(shù)性與旺盛的藝術(shù)創(chuàng)造力。

    A Life of ZHU Xuanxian(朱宣咸)

     

      Zhu Xuanxian, 1927 (Zhejiang)---2002 (Chongqing), outstanding traditional Chinese painting artist, woodblock artist, caricaturist and art activist. 

        Zhu Xuanxian took up Chinese painting, Chinese New woodblock art and current affairs comic in early 1940s; moved from Zhejiang to Shanghai, joined the Haishang Painting School and the woodblock art which was initiated by Lu Xun. He Joined National Artists Association China in 1946; was arrested in the famous Shanghai “Observation “Event in modern history in 1948; published the “Declaration of Art Workers” in Ta Kung Pao in 1949 on behalf of the community of fine arts in Shanghai, along with Liu Kaiqu, Yang Keyang, Zhang Leping, (Zheng) Yefu and Pang Xunqin, which turned the new page of the fine arts in Kuomintang-ruled areas and Shanghai Modern Art History; At the same time, he entered the Joint office of the National Art Association, the Society of Woodblock Art China and The National Association of Cartoons; participated in the preparation work of art in the early time of Liberation in Shanghai in 1949. Afterwards he joined the Chinese People’s Liberation Army and came to Chongqing with the Army at the end of 1949. 

      He worked in China National Art Workers Association (Chinese Artists Association) as Executive Committee of Chongqing and member of China Artists Association since 1951. Director of the Office of Chongqing Art Photography Exhibition; the first curator of the Chongqing Museum of Art (fuzichi, Jiefangbei); Preparatory leader for the establish Chinese painting, consultant; founder and president of the Chongqing Academy of Fine Art;  Participated in the National Art Exhibition review, and presided over the publication of a national art collections. In a long time, Mr. Zhu served as news, culture, education, publishing, and fine arts leadership. He was awarded the Medal of the "In honor of the founder of the Republic".

      As one of the most important pioneers of fine arts after the establishment of new China, Mr. Zhu who made large contributions to establish, facilitate and promote the prosperity and development of Chongqingu2019s fine arts in the middle and late 20th century, to introduce it and broaden its influence to all over of China. 

      Zhu Xuanxian formed its own distinctive artistic style, had made remarkable artistic achievements. He carried the style and inherit of the Haishang painting school to his traditional Chinese paintings.  His early woodblock art is as origin of European black and white woodcut, which later combined with the characteristics of Chinese art.

      Zhu Xuanxian, who devoted himself to the arts and progressive student movements in his young age, created a large number of Chinese paintings, woodblock prints, Politics comics, illustration, gouache, watercolor, comic strips and other works, which fully conveyed the distinctive artistic spirit, the contemporary social. Many of those are collected and kept in the National Art Museum of China and worldwide art galleries and museums, also included in many large literatures, like China Year Book, Chinese Woodblock Art for a Hundred Year, etc. His works had been selected and displayed repeatedly by a series of important exhibitions at home and abroad since 1946. . Its artistic style, academic and diversity are thematic reviewed by major media such as The Peopleu2019s Daily. There are thousands of his works published. Exhibitions in the name of Zhu were held in Hong Kong, Chongqing and Zhejiang. Albums printed include Selected Art Works by Zhu Xuanxian, Chinese Paintings of Flower and Bird by Zhu Xuanxian (Selected Collection), Collection of Woodcuts by Zhu Xuanxian, Selected Collection of Landscape Woodcuts by Zhu Xuanxian, A Master of Brush Evergreen (Ever-green Art---Artist Zhu Xuanxian), Selected Collecton Works by Zhu Xuanxian etc. His biography has been recorded in several national dictionaries, including Chinese Art Dictionary.
