人物經(jīng)歷
在1987年遇見(jiàn)彼得·杰克遜之前，沃爾士是一個(gè)電視劇作者和音樂(lè)家。和彼得·杰克遜在小成本的荒誕黑色電影《壞口味》中合作之后，他們又一同制作了瘋狂怪誕的玩偶劇《瘋狂肥寶綜藝秀》。兩人的怪異口味在這部影片中不謀而合，展示的淋漓盡致。隨后沃爾士又參與了那部讓彼得·杰克遜一炮而紅的僵尸電影《 群尸玩過(guò)界》劇本的編寫。隨之又合作了影片《天堂造物》，這部風(fēng)格大變的嚴(yán)肅影片獲得了當(dāng)年的威尼斯電影節(jié)銀獅獎(jiǎng)和一項(xiàng)奧斯卡提名。這個(gè)瘋狂的團(tuán)隊(duì)很快又轉(zhuǎn)回了恐怖喜劇片的套路，但是這次的《 恐怖幽靈》反響平平，不過(guò)好萊塢仍然垂青著他們，萬(wàn)眾矚目的《魔戒》三部曲給他們帶來(lái)了空前的壓力和同樣巨大的成功，影片共獲得了11項(xiàng)奧斯卡獎(jiǎng)，而沃爾士不止參與了影片劇本的創(chuàng)作，更兼任制片，剪輯，助理導(dǎo)演等多個(gè)角色。
接下來(lái)自然就是2005年上映的，同樣好評(píng)如潮而票房大賣的影片《金剛》了，沃爾士同樣參與了劇本的撰寫和影片的制作，可以說(shuō)，有彼·得杰克遜的地方，就一定有沃爾士站在他的身邊。他們還育有一女一子。
2018年12月14日，擔(dān)任編劇、制作人的電影《掠食城市：致命引擎》在美國(guó)上映。
