以“Longer”一曲享譽(yù)全球的Dan Fogelberg，以他輕柔的歌喉、清澈的吉他聲及動(dòng)人的詞句使他擁有"民謠詩(shī)人"的美稱。1951年8月13日生于伊利諾州 (Illinois)的Dan Fogelberg，十四歲開始學(xué)習(xí)鋼琴, 后來(lái)又進(jìn)一步學(xué)習(xí)吉他和作曲，為了往歌唱圈發(fā)展，丹佛格伯毅然放棄伊利諾大學(xué)藝術(shù)系學(xué)士學(xué)位，開始他的歌唱事業(yè)，移居加州，追隨 Van Morrison 到各地參加巡回演唱會(huì)。1973年與哥倫比亞唱片公司簽約，發(fā)行的第一張專輯 "Home Free" 成績(jī)并不理想。隨后轉(zhuǎn)加入 Epic 唱片公司，第二張專輯"Souvenirs"于1975年推出后，佳評(píng)如潮，不但獲得樂(lè)評(píng)家的贊賞，也獲得商業(yè)上的成功，得到專輯排行第十七名。Dan Fogelberg擠身進(jìn)入美國(guó)知名作曲家兼歌手的行列。他歌唱生涯在商業(yè)上最成功的一張專輯則是于1980年推出的"Phoenix"，獲得第三名，并成功打入英國(guó)排行，至今仍讓人津津樂(lè)道的抒情佳作"Longer"并獲得亞軍好成績(jī) 。補(bǔ)充：
