基本內(nèi)容
2000年被聘為湖南師范大學(xué)特聘教授。在美留學(xué)期間他以復(fù)雜性狀與疾病為研究對(duì)象,以遺傳與突變?yōu)檠芯康暮诵膯?wèn)題,從事了進(jìn)化生物學(xué)、分子進(jìn)化遺傳學(xué)、群體及數(shù)量遺傳學(xué)、生態(tài)遺傳學(xué)、骨醫(yī)學(xué)、骨質(zhì)分子遺傳學(xué)、計(jì)算和統(tǒng)計(jì)遺傳學(xué)等跨學(xué)科和交叉學(xué)科的研究,并取得了杰出成就。2003年分獲第二屆HOMA獎(jiǎng)“杰出青年學(xué)者獎(jiǎng)”和湖南省科技進(jìn)步二等獎(jiǎng),2004年獲國(guó)際骨質(zhì)疏松基金“IOF-Servier 青年學(xué)者研究獎(jiǎng)”,2004年教育部提名國(guó)家科學(xué)技術(shù)獎(jiǎng)自然科學(xué)二等獎(jiǎng),共申請(qǐng)國(guó)內(nèi)外專利7項(xiàng)。
主要科研成就:
1)發(fā)展了“鄧-林奇”(Deng-Lynch)法來(lái)測(cè)定基因突變的突變率、突變對(duì)機(jī)體的危害及其遺傳效應(yīng)。有關(guān)這項(xiàng)工作的一系列文章發(fā)表在美國(guó)遺傳學(xué)報(bào)(Genetics)上。主要因?yàn)檫@項(xiàng)工作,他于1997年獲得美國(guó)自然科學(xué)家協(xié)會(huì)的優(yōu)秀青年科學(xué)獎(jiǎng);
2)第一次發(fā)現(xiàn)并證實(shí)維生素-D的受體基因和雌性激素的受體在一定程度上決定人類骨質(zhì)密度的自然變化及藥理調(diào)控。這項(xiàng)工作發(fā)表在Human Genetics及國(guó)際骨質(zhì)研究學(xué)刊(Osteoporosis International)上。他為此于1999年4月獲美國(guó)骨學(xué)研究會(huì)第一次有命名的(John Haddad)優(yōu)秀青年科學(xué)家獎(jiǎng);
3)第一次發(fā)現(xiàn)并證實(shí)人類的手腕骨折有其重要的遺傳原理及機(jī)制。這項(xiàng)工作為尋找人類骨折基因打下了堅(jiān)實(shí)的基礎(chǔ)。鄧紅文博士在Nature、Genetics、Human Genetics、J Bone and Mineral Res、 Evolution、Molecular Biology and Evolution、 Heredity、Genetical Research、Genetica和American J Human Genetics等國(guó)際權(quán)威刊物上共發(fā)表了70余篇論文。其中第一作者和獨(dú)著或通訊作者的論文60余篇,全部文章被SCI收錄,論文總引用達(dá)500余次。
鄧紅文博士承擔(dān)和主持過(guò)國(guó)家級(jí)重大課題7項(xiàng),獲得國(guó)際和美國(guó)各種杰出青年科學(xué)家獎(jiǎng)9項(xiàng),7次應(yīng)邀在國(guó)際重要學(xué)術(shù)會(huì)議上作專題報(bào)告,為13個(gè)國(guó)際一流雜志和美國(guó)NSF等基金組織擔(dān)任評(píng)審。
目前鄧紅文博士在美國(guó)Creighton大學(xué)醫(yī)學(xué)院主持一個(gè)遺傳學(xué)研究室,在研課題6項(xiàng),經(jīng)費(fèi)323.35萬(wàn)美元;在湖南師范大學(xué)生命科學(xué)學(xué)院主持一個(gè)分子與統(tǒng)計(jì)遺傳學(xué)研究室,主要開展人類復(fù)雜多基因遺傳疾病(如骨質(zhì)疏松、高血壓、心臟病、癌癥等)基因的分子遺傳分析與鑒定。
承擔(dān)的課題:
國(guó)家自然科學(xué)基金重點(diǎn)項(xiàng)目1項(xiàng)(160萬(wàn)元),國(guó)家杰出青年科學(xué)基金課題1項(xiàng)(80萬(wàn))、國(guó)家自然科學(xué)基金面上項(xiàng)目1項(xiàng)(21萬(wàn))、湖南省特聘教授基金課題1項(xiàng)(300萬(wàn))、霍英東教育基金第八屆青年教師基金1項(xiàng)(2萬(wàn)美金),教育部留學(xué)回國(guó)人員啟動(dòng)基金課題1項(xiàng)(5萬(wàn)),課題經(jīng)費(fèi)達(dá)600萬(wàn)元人民幣。該研究室已具規(guī)模,目前指導(dǎo)有碩士生、博士生10余名。與國(guó)內(nèi)外同行已建立起了廣泛的聯(lián)系,各項(xiàng)研究工作已全面展開并取得了良好的進(jìn)展。
