巴蒂斯特莉出生在音樂世家，是來自美國紐約的基督教女歌手,她的歌聲低沉渾厚這樣的音域特質(zhì)展露一種迷人的氣味,而歌曲的旋律和張力更是有著搖滾與民謠結(jié)合的展現(xiàn)。十五歲時是奧蘭多一個流行樂團的成員，樂團解散后，巴蒂斯特莉開始拿起吉他創(chuàng)作歌曲。 2004年巴蒂斯特莉獨立發(fā)行首張專輯《Just a Breath 》，2008年簽約后，在iTunes首先推EP《I’m Letting Go 》，接著同年推出專輯《My Paper Heart》 ,并獲得圣鴿獎(GMA Dove Awards)多項提名。
