2015年9月25日，第28屆東京國際電影節(jié)組委會公布了電影節(jié)評委會5位成員，分別來自世界各國的電影代表人。中國電影出品人施南生、越南導演陳英雄、挪威導演本特-哈默、丹麥導演蘇珊娜-比爾以及日本本土導演、編劇大森一樹將擔任此次電影節(jié)評委會評委。電影節(jié)評委會主席則是之前公布的《X戰(zhàn)警》系列導演布萊恩-辛格。
2017年10月2日，執(zhí)導的電視劇《天賦異稟 第一季》播出。
2018年12月25日，執(zhí)導的皇后樂隊傳記片《波西米亞狂想曲》在北美上映。

2017年11月，有USC學生在網(wǎng)絡發(fā)起呼吁，要求學校將有過被控性侵歷史的辛格除名，收到4000個簽名支持。
2017年11月，導演布萊恩·辛格新卷入強奸未成年人官司，他的母校南加州大學（USC）電影學院將他除名，南加州大學電影學院發(fā)布聲明，稱辛格提出電影與媒體研究系不要再有自己的名字，直到針對他的指控解決。
2018年1月9日， 因為性騷擾指控，掛名執(zhí)行制作人的布萊恩·辛格被從FX劇集《大群》除名，與該劇不再有關聯(lián)。
