1977年2月2日，Shakira出生于哥倫比亞的巴蘭基利亞，其母是西班牙和意大利后裔，其父具有美國出生的黎巴嫩天主教徒背景。夏奇拉在年僅四歲的時候，即寫下其生平第一首詩——《玻璃玫瑰（La Rosa De Cristal）》。七歲時，她如愿得到一臺打字機作為禮物，并開始持續(xù)不停地寫詩，而她寫的這些詩最后都創(chuàng)作成了歌曲。在她八歲的時候，即創(chuàng)作了生平第一首歌曲——《你的墨鏡（Tus gafas oscuras）》，歌詞內(nèi)容圍繞著她的父親以及紀念其車禍身亡的哥哥，其創(chuàng)作靈感來自于總是戴著墨鏡掩飾喪子悲傷的父親。
專輯介紹
2000年，公司為Shakira推出了一張名為“MTV Unplugged”的專輯，其中的歌曲收錄于99年為拉丁美洲區(qū)的電視網(wǎng)所舉行的演唱會實況。而該場演唱會也于當年9月在拉丁美洲和美國境內(nèi)強力播放，Shakira也借此獲得了Grammy“最佳拉丁流行專輯獎”。
在站穩(wěn)了拉丁和美國市場后，Shakira隨即在2001年推出了眾望已久的個人首張英語專輯《Laundry Service》。她一人挑起詞曲創(chuàng)作、制作大任，盡情施展她與生具有的音樂才華，專輯發(fā)行首周便登上了Billboard榜Top3的位置。在商業(yè)上的巨大成功，使Shakira一躍成為世界級巨星。首支主打冠軍單曲《Whenever Wherever》以安第斯山脈排笛、巴西鼓等傳統(tǒng)樂器調(diào)味，奔放而野性十足。
