人物生平
龍教授是香港科技大學計算機科學與工程系的終身正教授。他于1989年在法國國立洛林理工學院（INPL）計算機科學系取得博士學位，在法國國家信息與自動化研究所（INRIA）任職法國CNRS高級研究員。他于2001年加入香港科技大學計算機科學與工程學系并擔任視覺計算與圖像科學中心主任，他還是中國科學院自動化研究所——香港科技大學智能識別聯(lián)合實驗室組委會主席。
他的科研興趣主要專注于計算機視覺、圖形學、人機交互、統(tǒng)計學習、模式識別和機器人等方向的研究工作，是計算機視覺和圖形學研究的世界級專家。他所提出的相機標定六點算法為計算機三維視覺發(fā)展奠定了重要的基礎。
主要成就
權龍教授是著名的國際組織國際電子電氣工程師協(xié)會院士（IEEE Fellow）。他還擔任多家頂級學報的編委，包括IEEE Transactions on Pattern Analysis and Machine Intelligence (PAMI) ，International Journal of Computer Vision (IJCV)，Image and Vision Computing Journal (IVC)，Electronic Letters on Computer Vision and Image Analysis (ELCVIA)，以及Machine Vision and Applications (MVA) 等。
他也擔任過若干頂級學術會議的委員會成員，包括 IEEE International Conference on Computer Vision(ICCV)，European Conference on Computer Vision (ECCV)，IEEE Computer Vision and Pattern Recognition (CVPR)，以及International Conference on Pattern Recognition (ICPR)。他于2011年擔任計算機視覺世界最高會議IEEE International Conference on Computer Vision(ICCV)的大會主席，并分別于2006年和2012年擔任模式識別世界頂尖會議International Conference on Pattern Recognition (ICPR) 的程序主席。
