獲獎(jiǎng)
曾獲澳大利亞燃燒學(xué)會(huì)的David Warren獎(jiǎng)(1996)、阿德雷德大學(xué)最佳研究生導(dǎo)師獎(jiǎng)(1998)、由澳大利亞工程師協(xié)會(huì)和國(guó)際化學(xué)工程師協(xié)會(huì)頒發(fā)的Shedden Uhde獎(jiǎng)?wù)?2000)、國(guó)際燃燒學(xué)會(huì)年輕科學(xué)家獎(jiǎng)(2001),并于2003年入選為國(guó)際能源基金會(huì)會(huì)員。
在過(guò)去的十二年里張東柯獲得了1200萬(wàn)澳元的科研經(jīng)費(fèi),發(fā)表了280篇學(xué)術(shù)論文,有三項(xiàng)專利和十多項(xiàng)主要技術(shù)被工業(yè)界使用,共指導(dǎo)了32名博士和2名碩士研究生。
1995年被聘任被聘任華中理工大學(xué)客座教授, 1996年獲國(guó)際燃燒協(xié)會(huì)的大衛(wèi).瓦壬獎(jiǎng), 1997年被聘任東南大學(xué)客座教授, 1998年獲阿德雷得大學(xué)的最佳研究生導(dǎo)師稱號(hào), 2000年英國(guó)皇家工程師協(xié)會(huì)與澳化工協(xié)會(huì)聯(lián)合頒發(fā)的契登.幽德大獎(jiǎng). 2002年被中國(guó)科學(xué)院評(píng)為中科院百人計(jì)劃里的海外評(píng)審專家, 2003年被聘任中科院山西煤炭化學(xué)研究所博士導(dǎo)師和兼職研究員。2004年11月,他當(dāng)選為澳大利亞工程院院士,成為該院4位華人院士之一。

主要科研方向包括粉煤燃燒與發(fā)電,煤氣化,煤灰利用,以煤炭為基礎(chǔ)的多聯(lián)產(chǎn)綜合資源利用;新能源開(kāi)發(fā),可再生能源, 如生物質(zhì), 城市垃圾, 污水淤泥的氣化, 制油, 燃燒. 煤炭利用過(guò)程中污染物的生成與控制的研究和技術(shù)開(kāi)發(fā), 天然氣利用,天然氣轉(zhuǎn)換液體燃料的技術(shù),工業(yè)催化劑的基礎(chǔ)研究和技術(shù)開(kāi)發(fā), 工業(yè)炸藥的運(yùn)用與安全研究, 可持續(xù)發(fā)展以及能源政策與戰(zhàn)略的研究。
