·1990-1991年 中山大學(xué)大氣科學(xué)系任助教,其中,1992年11月至1993年3月參加世界氣候研究計(jì)劃之“熱帶海洋和全球大氣研究計(jì)劃-耦合海洋大氣研究試驗(yàn)”(TOGA-COARE);2004年6月在意大利國(guó)際理論物理研究中心(ICTP)進(jìn)行短期訪問。

1. 從中高緯地區(qū)環(huán)流異常、低緯地區(qū)大氣熱源和水汽匯異常、東亞局地經(jīng)向環(huán)流變異和大氣30~60天低頻振蕩活動(dòng)以及熱帶海溫異常等方面,較系統(tǒng)地研究了南海夏季風(fēng)爆發(fā)遲早的機(jī)制,提出了前期中高緯環(huán)流異常、低緯地區(qū)低頻對(duì)流活動(dòng)、東亞局地經(jīng)圈環(huán)流變異和西太平洋副熱帶高壓變動(dòng)與南海夏季風(fēng)爆發(fā)遲早的關(guān)系物理圖像;
2. 研究了西太平洋海氣相互作用與熱帶大氣環(huán)流異常和ENSO循環(huán)的關(guān)系,指出了副熱帶環(huán)流異常在連結(jié)熱帶西太平洋和中緯度西太平洋海氣相互作用中的橋梁作用,揭示了西太平洋海氣相互作用對(duì)熱帶氣旋活動(dòng)和夏季副熱帶高壓環(huán)流異常的可能影響。
