1886年12月12日，歐文·摩爾出生于愛爾蘭米斯郡福茲敦的十字街頭。
1898年，歐文·摩爾隨家人來到美國，并在俄亥俄州托萊多接受了早期教育。后來他決定去紐約，并成為一個電影演員。
1908年，歐文·摩爾出演由大衛(wèi)·格里菲斯導(dǎo)演的電影短片。
1933年，歐文·摩爾最后一次出現(xiàn)在銀幕上，出演由梅·韋斯特主演的電影《儂本多情》。
1939年6月9日，歐文·摩爾心臟病發(fā)作在加州貝弗利山莊的逝世。
