1992年、1995年分別獲得北京大學(xué)經(jīng)濟學(xué)學(xué)士、碩士學(xué)位，后留校任教，2007年獲得美國 Northern Illinois University 數(shù)學(xué)碩士和經(jīng)濟學(xué)博士學(xué)位，2008年回國任教。2017- 2018, Boston College, 訪問學(xué)者。

現(xiàn)為美國經(jīng)濟學(xué)會、中國留美經(jīng)濟學(xué)會、中國數(shù)量經(jīng)濟學(xué)會會員。

主要研究領(lǐng)域包括計量經(jīng)濟學(xué)、機器學(xué)習、經(jīng)濟史，已先后在Oxford Economic Papers (Lead Article), Journal of Comparative Economics, Economica 以及《經(jīng)濟學(xué)季刊》、《世界經(jīng)濟》等期刊發(fā)表論文，并著有暢銷研究生教材《高級計量經(jīng)濟學(xué)及Stata應(yīng)用》（高教社，2014年，第2版）；本科生教材《計量經(jīng)濟學(xué)及Stata應(yīng)用》（高教社，2015年），以及配套本科計量教學(xué)視頻（網(wǎng)易云課堂）。
