The Rising Tied 是一張直截了當(dāng)?shù)腍ip Hop唱片，於是乎我們也見到Mike邀集多位Hip Hop好手跨刀助陣。多年好友兼自家廠牌旗下單位Styles Of Beyond無疑是整個Fort Minor計劃中不可或缺的一股力量，多首作品中都可見到他們的演出聲影；其中"Remember The Name"在大量弦樂鋪陳下醞釀著山雨欲來的懾人張力，與The Roots成員Black Thought聯(lián)袂獻(xiàn)聲、透過鋼琴剪影營造幽悒氛圍的"Right Now"靈感來自於導(dǎo)演勞勃阿特曼電影「Short Cuts」(銀色性男女)，與Common一同演出、描述洛杉磯生活點(diǎn)滴的"Back Home"流露低回Moody的騷靈氣息，而與Alt-Funk藝人Kenna以及加州Alternative Metal樂團(tuán)Far主唱Jonah Matranga攜手合作、隱約蟄伏Funk-Metal破壞力的"Red To Black"則堪稱專輯中最為搖滾的一曲。此外，唱作俱佳的Neo-Soul才子John Legend為"High Road"獻(xiàn)聲并伴奏鋼琴，LP戰(zhàn)友DJ Joe Hahn與Mike則再度并肩譜出"Slip Out The Back"這首悲愴深沉之作。
"Whereu2019d You Go?"肯定是專輯中最為動人的慢板樂章，自家廠牌Machine Shop女歌手Holly Brook惹人心疼的天使嗓音與加州Alternative Metal樂團(tuán)Far主唱Jonah Matranga的Rappin的演繹，在苦澀感傷的Hip Hop Ballad曲式中展現(xiàn)絲絲入扣的細(xì)膩感。不可忽略的還有"Kenji"這首試圖捕捉到早期Public Enemy精神、彌漫著糾結(jié)不安情緒的作品，本身是日俄混血的Mike在歌曲中透過回憶錄體裁，紀(jì)錄著第二次大戰(zhàn)期間，美國拘留所里日本公民被囚禁的故事。在《The Rising Tied》的特殊版本中，即一種引進(jìn)版收錄了沒有收錄在《The Rising Tied》中的《there they go》《be somebody》《the hard way》.
