畢業(yè)于北京電影學(xué)院導(dǎo)演系七八班，該班營集了包括陳凱歌?田壯壯?胡玫?李少紅等中國著名的第五代導(dǎo)演，是不折不扣的明星導(dǎo)演班，該班“才子”李曉軍，畢業(yè)后進(jìn)入當(dāng)年最有影響力的八一電影制片廠故事片導(dǎo)演創(chuàng)作室，創(chuàng)作了多部叫好?叫座的影視作品。
Li Xiaojun graduated from 78 class of the directing department of Beijing Film Academy. This class produced well-known fifth-generation directors in China， including Chen Kaige， Tian Zhuangzhuang， Hu Mei， Li Shaohong， etc， so it was an absolute star director class. "Genius" Li Xiaojun， after graduating， entered the feature film director workshop of AUGUST FIRST FILM STUDIO， the most influential film studio in China those days， and created several popular film and television works.

《女兒樓》是李曉軍執(zhí)導(dǎo)的第一部電影，是中國電影史上第一次用散文詩的電影結(jié)構(gòu)，用非常細(xì)膩的藝術(shù)語言描寫一個(gè)女軍人的情感世界，他第一次起用非專業(yè)演員出演劇中女一號，而且還捧得了意大利電影節(jié)優(yōu)秀影片獎(jiǎng)�？傉碗娪熬譃榇诉�專門召開了研討會(huì)，一致認(rèn)為《女兒樓》是中國軍事題材上的一個(gè)重大突破。?
其后的《女教官的報(bào)告》獲得了“華表”獎(jiǎng)； 《兩棲英雄》無論是對鏡頭的運(yùn)用還是對人物的心理刻畫，無不追求標(biāo)新立異，開創(chuàng)國產(chǎn)打斗情節(jié)片的新理念； 《末日殺手》是純國產(chǎn)制作最好的一部槍戰(zhàn)動(dòng)作片(電影局評語)，他用敏銳的藝術(shù)手法來釋放他年輕的藝術(shù)激情和英雄情結(jié)。
