1975年在布賴恩·迪·帕爾馬導(dǎo)演的驚險恐怖片《凱莉》中扮演了重要角色，真正嶄露頭角是1987年的科幻警匪大戲《機(jī)械戰(zhàn)警》（《鐵甲威龍》）1-3集里扮演主角的美女搭檔而走紅。
戲里她是一位剛正不阿的NYPD，高官們帶有歧視偏見的派給她一名高科技的產(chǎn)物 機(jī)械戰(zhàn)警 來和她共同執(zhí)行日常巡邏和維護(hù)治安的任務(wù)。隨后在相處中漸漸發(fā)現(xiàn) 機(jī)械戰(zhàn)警 的真實(shí)身份原來是局里一名警官，因?yàn)槭艽跬狡群χ率箘袢舜顧n殉職自己也重傷難醫(yī)，而后經(jīng)軍火集團(tuán)改造成為如今的主機(jī)械踢小部分人體的機(jī)械警官，以代表警察部門新形象和打擊犯罪利器的身份光鮮亮相。最后她在和機(jī)械戰(zhàn)警的患難與共之中漸生朦朧情愫，只是礙于“種族”有別難以言明。
