1989畢業(yè)于浙江大學(xué)（華家池），1992年和1997年分別在中國科學(xué)院南京土壤研究所獲得理學(xué)碩士學(xué)位和農(nóng)學(xué)博士。1992年留土壤所工作，曾赴意大利國際理論物理研究中心培訓(xùn)1個月（1993），英國Macaulay Land Use Research Institute in Aberdeen進(jìn)修6個月（1994～1995），日本國立農(nóng)業(yè)研究中心做博士后2年（2000～2002），澳大利亞墨爾本大學(xué)合作研究2個月（2003），美國特拉華大學(xué)合作研究作2月（2006）。2002被中國科學(xué)院南京土壤研究所聘為創(chuàng)新副研究員。

一直從事土壤水分管理、作物水分利用率、及無機(jī)、有機(jī)、微生物污染物在土壤中遷移方面的研究工作。參加了“八五”“九五”國家科技攻關(guān)項(xiàng)目“豫北平原區(qū)中低產(chǎn)田治理與農(nóng)業(yè)持續(xù)發(fā)展”、國家自然科學(xué)基金重大項(xiàng)目專題“豫北地區(qū)水肥偶合對提高作物產(chǎn)量的效應(yīng)”以及中澳合作項(xiàng)目的研究，并合作主持完成了中國科學(xué)院“九五”特別支持項(xiàng)目專題“黃淮海豫北平原典型農(nóng)田水分平衡和養(yǎng)分循環(huán)與生產(chǎn)力關(guān)系及優(yōu)化模式建設(shè)研究”。

目前正在主持973項(xiàng)目子課題“有機(jī)污染物在土壤中的去向及其影響因素”（2002～2008），國家自然科學(xué)基金“病毒在土壤中的遷移行為及其機(jī)理研究”（2005～2007）, 中國科學(xué)院創(chuàng)新項(xiàng)目一級課題“高產(chǎn)農(nóng)田生態(tài)系統(tǒng)持續(xù)生產(chǎn)的水氮鹽調(diào)控對策與驗(yàn)證”（2006~2009），江蘇省青年科技創(chuàng)新人才項(xiàng)目“富鐵鋁土壤和納米材料去除病毒效率及其機(jī)理的比較研究”（2007~2009）。

在作物需水量及其提高水分利用率的技術(shù)措施；水稻不同時期水分脅迫對水分利用率和干物質(zhì)中碳同位素識別值的影響；長期施肥條件下土壤剖面中15N和13C及土壤淋溶液中15N自然豐度的分布等研究方面取得了重要進(jìn)展。出版了學(xué)術(shù)論文40多篇，其中SCI/EI 9篇。
