“社會(huì)性”（Sociality）為李晟臺(tái)博士關(guān)注的核心問(wèn)題，其博士論文研究現(xiàn)象學(xué)社會(huì)學(xué)創(chuàng)始人阿爾弗雷德·舒茨。舒茨提出將對(duì)“社會(huì)性”的理論探索作為社會(huì)事實(shí)基本的維度。李晟臺(tái)博士作為日本政府獎(jiǎng)學(xué)金獲得者、日本學(xué)術(shù)振興會(huì)成員和富布賴(lài)特學(xué)者，在韓國(guó)，日本和美國(guó)致力于國(guó)際化和跨學(xué)科研究與教育。目前李晟臺(tái)博士將其研究領(lǐng)域拓展至文化和全球化，考察“社會(huì)性”包含的資源如何與正在形成的世界所面對(duì)的挑戰(zhàn)相遇。
