前 The Beach Boys 樂隊的隊長。才華出眾的他卻只有一個耳朵能聽的到。
2005年，Brian Wilson 獲得第47屆 格萊美獎最佳搖滾樂器演奏獎。
回到六○年代來看一看，有許多年輕藝術(shù)家在六○年代中期紛紛進入錄音間，進行充滿生命力與創(chuàng)意的實驗，當(dāng)然，有些失敗了，而我們現(xiàn)在還會聽到的大概都是經(jīng)過時代焠煉留下的作品。
其中有一個年輕人，非常崇拜 Phil Spector 聲音重復(fù)疊錄的技術(shù)，他就是 The Beach Boys 的團長 Brian Wilson。
大家聽到 The Beach Boys 一定想到一堆大男孩穿著短褲唱沖浪歌曲－－剛開始的確是這樣。沖浪、 加州、陽光、泡馬子都是他們歌曲的內(nèi)容，但這只是很短的時間。
因為他們的才華實在是太驚人，尤其是Brian Wilson，他是六○年代少數(shù)可以與John Lennon/ Paul McCartney這對寫歌搭檔分庭抗禮的創(chuàng)作者。他只有一個耳朵能聽的到。而且像Lennon/McCartney有兩個人，Brian Wilson也沒有George Martin這樣可以幫Beatles出主意、還會編寫優(yōu)美弦樂的制作人，他只能靠自己。但他的才華將Beach Boys的音樂水平在某段時間內(nèi)，推到超越Beatles的程度，這是非常了不起的一件事。
后來因為競爭壓力太大、嗑藥過度，他消沈了很長的時間。
