中山大學(xué)歷史系副教授。1984年畢業(yè)于中山大學(xué)外語系，獲英語語言文學(xué)學(xué)士學(xué)位，1987年在中山大學(xué)東南亞研究所獲世界史東南亞史專業(yè)碩士學(xué)位，1998年在中山大學(xué)歷史系獲專門史中美關(guān)系史博士學(xué)位，一直從事世界現(xiàn)代史、國際關(guān)系史和東南亞史的教學(xué)與研究，曾在美國、澳大利亞和東南亞國家進行訪學(xué)和課題研究。

近年的主要論著包括：
