生于1961年8月，山東青州人。1978年至1985年在山東大學(xué)數(shù)學(xué)系計(jì)算數(shù)學(xué)專業(yè)和基礎(chǔ)數(shù)學(xué)專業(yè)分別讀本科生和研究生，獲學(xué)士學(xué)位（1982）和碩士學(xué)位（1985）。1996年獲香港科技大學(xué)博士學(xué)位，1998年博士后出站時(shí)破格聘為山東大學(xué)教授，1999年被聘為博士生導(dǎo)師。山東省、中國(guó)、美國(guó)等數(shù)學(xué)會(huì)會(huì)員。分析應(yīng)用和計(jì)算國(guó)際學(xué)會(huì)（ISAAC）終身會(huì)員。印度數(shù)學(xué)雜志JAA編委。美國(guó)數(shù)學(xué)會(huì)《Math. Reviews》評(píng)論員。歐洲數(shù)學(xué)會(huì)《Zbl. Math.》評(píng)論員。
科研成就
在復(fù)分析、動(dòng)力系統(tǒng)、數(shù)論等若干基礎(chǔ)數(shù)學(xué)領(lǐng)域發(fā)表了70余篇的學(xué)術(shù)論文, 其中SCI論文10余篇。出版英文專著4部。1999年, 榮獲山東省科技進(jìn)步獎(jiǎng)、二等獎(jiǎng)和分析應(yīng)用和計(jì)算國(guó)際學(xué)會(huì)(簡(jiǎn)稱ISAAC)數(shù)學(xué)研究杰出成就獎(jiǎng)。扈培礎(chǔ)及其合作者在Kluwer學(xué)術(shù)出版社出版的兩部專著中系統(tǒng)的總結(jié)了復(fù)域和非阿基米德域上的全純映射值分布理論 ，其中包括許多他們的最新研究成果，例如建立了多復(fù)變亞純函數(shù)唯一性象集理論并提出了幾個(gè)引起W. Cherry、C. C. Yang等人關(guān)注的猜想；證明了ABC猜想在值分布論中對(duì)應(yīng)物；提出了值分布論中Griffiths和Lang的猜想在非阿基米德全純曲線的對(duì)應(yīng)物；證明了映入一般型（或擬典則）投影簇全純曲線退化的Green-Griffiths猜想。扈培礎(chǔ)和楊重駿提出了廣義ABC猜想、廣義Hall猜想和一般的Fermat猜想并證明了在函數(shù)論中對(duì)應(yīng)物；提出了Schmidt子空間定理在齊次多項(xiàng)式形式的猜想并在近期用P. Corvaja和U. Zannier的方法給出一個(gè)證明。扈培礎(chǔ)和楊重駿研究了非阿基米德域和高維空間上的動(dòng)力系統(tǒng)并提出若干問(wèn)題。例如證明了射影空間上可交換的全純映射有相同的Julia集；給出并建議了高維空間上Julia集非空的若干條件；提出了Fatou分支具有Kobayashi雙曲性的猜想等。
