而令她的演藝事業(yè)得到突破的角色來自1982年的經(jīng)典科幻影片《銀翼殺手》，這部影片使她開始受到外界的關(guān)注。1984年她受主演了影片《美人魚》，該片的成功一下子讓她成為了炙手可熱的偶像明星，此后片約不斷。隨后她出演了許多影片，1989年的《鋼木蘭》、1993年的《絕地50尺女巨人》、1998年的《迷色布局》，但是卻都沒有象最初那樣獲得成功，過早成名卻漸入低谷。這兩年也陸續(xù)出演了一些影片。
