基本內(nèi)容
生于1952年10月8日芝加哥，畢業(yè)于美國電影學(xué)院。70年代中期開始導(dǎo)演電視影集，至1986年開始導(dǎo)演改編自大衛(wèi)．馬密的舞臺(tái)劇的第一部電影長片《昨夜情深》(關(guān)于昨晚)，成績平平。而次年集制、編、導(dǎo)于一身的電視影集《三十而立》則受到熱烈歡迎，獲艾美獎(jiǎng)最佳戲劇影集獎(jiǎng)。接下來導(dǎo)演的影片《光榮戰(zhàn)役》更讓他聞名遐邇，連同1994年制、導(dǎo)的《燃情歲月》，兩度獲金球獎(jiǎng)最佳導(dǎo)演獎(jiǎng)提名。之后導(dǎo)演的《火線勇氣》、《緊急動(dòng)員》成績亦不錯(cuò)。1999年制片的《莎翁情史》一舉榮獲奧斯卡最佳影片、最佳導(dǎo)演等七項(xiàng)大獎(jiǎng)。近幾年佳作不斷，能完美結(jié)合藝術(shù)與商業(yè)。新作是《血鉆》，《反抗軍》，當(dāng)然還包括《最后的武士》，貌似畫面壯觀、規(guī)模宏大、再帶點(diǎn)史詩色彩的影片從來就是導(dǎo)演愛德華·澤維克的最愛。
