第七屆“信息與通信工程學(xué)科”國務(wù)院學(xué)科評議組成員，博士生導(dǎo)師，現(xiàn)任北京交通大學(xué)信息科學(xué)研究所所長，北京市“現(xiàn)代信息科學(xué)與網(wǎng)絡(luò)技術(shù)”重點實驗室主任，北京交通大學(xué)學(xué)位委員會委員，北京交通大學(xué)計算機與信息技術(shù)學(xué)院教授會主席，院學(xué)位委員會主席，曾任國家自然科學(xué)基金第十一屆、第十二屆評審組專家，863評審專家?guī)鞂＜�，受邀�?dān)任IEEE國際期刊《IEEE Transactions on Cybernetics》副編輯、IEEE國際期刊《IEEE Signal Processing Letters》副編輯、Elsevier國際期刊《Signal Processing: Image Communication》副編輯、Springer國際期刊《Circuits, Systems & Signal Processing》副編輯、《數(shù)據(jù)采集與處理》雜志編委，入選IET Fellow。
1996年獲北京交通大學(xué)工學(xué)博士學(xué)位并留所工作。2001年-2002年在荷蘭代爾夫特理工大學(xué)（Delft University of Technology）從事博士后研究工作；2002年被遴選為博士生導(dǎo)師；2012年作為團隊帶頭人的團隊入選教育部創(chuàng)新團隊。
研究方向
數(shù)字媒體處理與內(nèi)容理解（包括：圖像與視頻編碼、數(shù)字水印與數(shù)字取證、圖像/視頻檢索與內(nèi)容理解等）。

主要著作
發(fā)表論文200余篇，包括國際期刊IEEE Trans. on Image Processing、IEEE Trans. on Circuits and Systems for Video Technology、 IEEE Trans. on Knowledge and Data Engineering、IEEE Trans. on Multimedia等。目前90余篇被SCI檢索，73篇被EI檢索。論文曾被評為IAS09最佳會議論文獎、IIH-MSP10最佳會議論文獎、電子學(xué)會年度優(yōu)秀論文、北京鐵道學(xué)會青年優(yōu)秀論文二等獎、第五屆全國信號處理學(xué)術(shù)年會優(yōu)秀論文獎、中國電子學(xué)會第十屆青年學(xué)術(shù)會議優(yōu)秀論文獎等。編輯出版著作4部，其中國際出版商Springer出版2部。
