教育背景
1975年獲香港大學(xué)社會科學(xué)（社會工作）榮譽學(xué)士學(xué)位；
1978年獲多倫多大學(xué)社會工作榮譽碩士學(xué)位；
1983年于曼徹斯特大學(xué)取得教育碩士學(xué)位；
1995年于香港大學(xué)取得哲學(xué)博士學(xué)位。
學(xué)術(shù)經(jīng)歷
阮曾媛琪先后于香港樹仁大學(xué)、新加坡國立大學(xué)任教。1986 年加入香港理工大學(xué)，任教于應(yīng)用社會科學(xué)系。2004年至2010年期間任職該系系主任，2007年至2010年期間擔(dān)任香港理工大學(xué)協(xié)理副校長，其后晉升為副校長，專責(zé)理大中國內(nèi)地及國際發(fā)展、學(xué)院發(fā)展及合作事宜。2014年1月起，任香港高等教育資助委員會委員。
社會活動
阮曾媛琪積極參與香港社會服務(wù)，曾為全職社工，曾擔(dān)任香港社會工作人員協(xié)會主席，并曾任或現(xiàn)任多個政府咨詢委員會成員，包括特區(qū)政府策略發(fā)展委員會，社會工作訓(xùn)練及人力策劃咨詢委員會等。歷任香港社會工作者注冊局理事。此外，亦擔(dān)任多個社會服務(wù)機(jī)構(gòu)及基金會理事，包括香港社會服務(wù)聯(lián)會，香港世界宣明會，香港基督教女青年會，凱瑟克基金會等。
