邁克·麥爾斯表演生涯開始于電視系列劇《周六的夜生活》，從1988年起共參與該劇六季的演出。他因在1992年和1993年的《韋恩的世界》、《韋恩的世界2》中飾演韋恩一角而出名，他的主要電影作品有《王牌大賤諜》、《和斧頭殺手結(jié)婚》、《戴帽子的貓》。
演藝經(jīng)歷
邁克·邁爾斯在1989年移居美國，并且如愿加入熱門的《周末夜現(xiàn)場(chǎng)》（Saturday Night Live）作臺(tái)柱演員，在這個(gè)節(jié)目里，每個(gè)主要演員要在四五個(gè)不同的欄目扮演不同的喜劇角色，極能鍛煉人的演技，邁爾斯在這個(gè)節(jié)目中“服役”長達(dá)5年之久，期間還以編劇身份獲得過艾美獎(jiǎng)。1992年他根據(jù)電視節(jié)目的原型編寫并主演電影《反斗智多星》（Wayneu2018s World），影片描寫幾個(gè)臭味相投的懶鬼朋友在地下室里做的電視節(jié)目引起電視臺(tái)的注意，但在他們正式被收購后，生活事業(yè)和愛情都發(fā)生了意想不到的變化和壓力，這部具有很正美國風(fēng)味的影片從頭至尾都像是一出狂歡戲，想不到竟成為年度賣座電影的一匹黑馬。但翌年推出此片的續(xù)集卻并未獲得成功。
沉寂四年后，邁克·邁爾斯在1997年成功地推出了《王牌大賤諜》（Austin Powers: International Man of Mystery），他在這部顛覆007的科幻搞笑電影中除了編劇還一人分飾多角，雖然片中充斥著粗俗的笑話和夸張的喜劇場(chǎng)面，但影片在美國極受歡迎，這也正式奠定了他在美國影壇的地位。兩年后他又以同樣手法推出續(xù)集《時(shí)空賤諜007》（Austin Powers: The Spy Who Shagged Me），他在片中一人包攬大反派邪惡博士和英雄主人公等三個(gè)角色，這部瘋狂喜劇比第一集還要受歡迎，不但票房更上一層樓，人物形象也深入人心，連麥當(dāng)娜的MTV都把“賤諜007”這個(gè)角色搬入劇情。這使得他成為好萊塢當(dāng)紅的喜劇巨星。
和很多明星一樣，邁克·邁爾斯也有不少的怪癖或是習(xí)慣，在他的影片里，一定會(huì)出現(xiàn)他頭戴內(nèi)衣褲的笑料，另外在影片中，他不喜歡有與任何人發(fā)生肉體接觸的戲；他精神放松的秘訣是玩士兵模型，還以給它們涂顏料為樂。許多著名瘋狂喜劇演員戲內(nèi)外都叛若兩人，從金凱利、周星馳到邁克．邁爾斯莫不如此，戲如人生，但人生卻不能為戲，這似乎已被他們視為一個(gè)共同守則。?
