工作經(jīng)歷
曾任 英國(guó)密德薩斯大學(xué)(Middlesex University)哲宗系講師，1996起任教于 香港中文大學(xué)，歷任系主任(2002-8)，天主教研究中心主任(2005-8)、人間佛教研究中心主任(2005-8)、文學(xué)院副院長(zhǎng)(2004-)。
主要教授的課程與下列領(lǐng)域有關(guān)︰基督教研究、宗教多元主義、宗教哲學(xué)、宗教與科學(xué)等。
學(xué)術(shù)興趣包括︰現(xiàn)代基督教思想、宗教對(duì)話、基督教與中國(guó)文化、環(huán)境倫理、宗教與自然科學(xué)。
繼2002 年在 海德堡大學(xué)的海德堡合一論壇（Heidelberg Ecumenical Forum ）進(jìn)行系列講座後，他又於2006 年在 伯明翰大學(xué)進(jìn)行了Edward Cadbury 講座。他是多家學(xué)術(shù)期刊及叢書(shū)的編輯委員，并曾在學(xué)術(shù)期刊或論文集上發(fā)表逾百篇論文。
在發(fā)表了數(shù)本關(guān)於基督教神學(xué)的專(zhuān)著以及編輯一些有關(guān)耶佛對(duì)話的論文集後，他正在撰寫(xiě)數(shù)本專(zhuān)著，其中一本關(guān)於 大乘基督教神學(xué)，另一本有關(guān)基督教神學(xué)家對(duì)於 大乘佛教的回應(yīng)，還有一本則涉及神學(xué)與文化。同時(shí)，他正在參與撰寫(xiě)數(shù)本教科書(shū)，包括三卷本基督教史，以及一卷本宗教與科學(xué)。

講座
2006年3月20-230日，在英國(guó)伯明翰大學(xué)(Birmingham University)，主講吉伯利講座(the Edward Cadbury Lectures 2006)，主題“大乘基督教神學(xué)的實(shí)驗(yàn)”，共八講，為該講座自1941成立以來(lái)首位來(lái)自亞太地區(qū)之主講者。
2002年5月31日至6月1日在德國(guó)海德堡大學(xué)(Heidelberg University)主講第四屆合一論壇(The Fourth Heidelberger Ecumenical Forum)，主題“基督教與中國(guó)文化”共三講，為該講座首位來(lái)自非西方世界之主講者。
Lai Pan Chiu usually teaches courses related to the study of Christianity, religious pluralism, Philosophy of Religion, Religion and Science, etc.
His academic interests include: Modern Christian Thought, Inter-religious Dialogue, Christianity and Chinese Culture, Environmental Ethics, and Religion & Natural Science.
In addition to the lecture series delivered at the Heidelberger Ecumenical Forum at the University of Heidelberg in 2002, he delivered the Edward Cadbury Lectures at the University of Birmingham in 2006. He serves on the editorial boards of several academic journals / book series and has published over one hundred journal articles or book chapters.
After publishing several monographs on Christian theology and a few edited volumes concerning Buddhist-Christian Dialogue, he is writing a book on Mahayana Christian Theology, another on Christian Theological Responses to Mahayana Buddhism, and a third on theology and culture. At the same time, he is also co-authoring with some friends on a couple of textbooks, including three volumes on history of Christianity and one volume on religion and science.
