人物簡介
李克昭，1975年獲臺灣大學(xué)數(shù)學(xué)專業(yè)學(xué)士學(xué)位，后于1981年獲美國加州大學(xué)伯克利分校統(tǒng)計學(xué)專業(yè)博士學(xué)位，導(dǎo)師為Jack Kiefer。畢業(yè)后在普渡大學(xué)大學(xué)統(tǒng)計系擔(dān)任助理教授（1981-1984），之后在加州大學(xué)洛杉磯分校擔(dān)任副教授和教授，現(xiàn)為臺北研究院統(tǒng)計研究所的教授和加州大學(xué)洛杉磯分校的教授。李克昭教授于1989年和1991年分別當(dāng)選為國際數(shù)理協(xié)會（IMS）和美國統(tǒng)計學(xué)會（ASA）的Fellow，2012年當(dāng)選為中央研究院院士。1999-2002年擔(dān)任統(tǒng)計學(xué)權(quán)威刊物《Statistica Sinica》的主編，及《Annals of Statistics》(1989-1994)、《Statistia sinica》(1991-1999)、《Computational Statistics》(1993-2001)的副主編。
主要成就
李克昭教授的專業(yè)方向是統(tǒng)計學(xué)，他以創(chuàng)造性地提出了兩個根本的降維方法：切片逆回歸（SIR，sliced inverse regression）和基本海森方向（PHD，principal Hessian direction）而著稱。李克昭教授曾獲1993年顧根海默獎、2010年國際華人統(tǒng)計學(xué)會杰出貢獻(xiàn)。
