布萊恩教授的研究方向主要集中在電信和軟件等信息和技術(shù)產(chǎn)業(yè)的產(chǎn)品定價和戰(zhàn)略。布萊恩教授曾經(jīng)對軟件的持續(xù)性版本如何定價,網(wǎng)絡(luò)外在性對定價及軟件質(zhì)量的影響等問題進行過專門研究。在電信領(lǐng)域,布萊恩教授還對可變因素如何影響價格、產(chǎn)品如何進入當?shù)仉娦攀袌霾⒏淖兿M福利,以及在手機市場的競爭如何影響技術(shù)認可及定價等問題進行過專門評估。最近,他還對電信產(chǎn)品的回報計劃在轉(zhuǎn)移成本和價格歧視方面的有效性方面進行了研究。
